Visa at the Port of Entry

Ok yeah, I think I will be perfectly fine I just wanted to see if anyone had any input. The employer and I were going over the contract and there isn't anything that she put in there about having certain qualifications or any degrees of any sort. Thank you so much for your help!

Visa at the Port of Entry

Ok cool that seems about right! Thank you.. The last part is what I am kind of worried about though. I do have work experience for the job that I applied for but it is not on my resume due to the fact that where I am from, there was never a full time, good paying position. I am worried that...

Visa at the Port of Entry

I will be doing it at the Edmonton International Airport..I didn't know if it would vary from different places or if it was about the same general time limit for each place. Did they interview you or anything or just go through all of your papers and process it all?

Medical examination for applying at port of entry

You need to find a panel physician that is close to you and get the medical done with them. They will give you the appropriate documents at that time. Here is a link for the panel physicians http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/index.asp

    Open Work Permit

Can someone please tell me if it is going to be difficult switching over a drivers licence, getting a bank account, a SIN number/card, and traveling to and from the states if I am not on TRV status. Do I also need to ask for a multiple entry visa?

    Open Work Permit

I didn't say I was doing LCP. Please read my entire post if you are willing to reply. The employer sent in the LMO for a child care provider under an open work permit. If I don't get a TRV, how am I supposed to have a bank account, transfer my drivers license, etc.

    Open Work Permit

I have applied for an open work permit to be a live out caregiver and will be applying for the permit at the POE..as I was going through the papers and the document check list, there is a spot that says "proof that you qualify for the job." I do qualify as I have done this before but because I...

    Medicals for caregivers

I am aware that I have to get a medical for the position that I will be employed for. I was wondering if anyone can give me a little bit of information about that. I have looked through CIC and haven't really found much about the medicals. I have found the Canadian approved doctors specifically...

    Once LMO had been received...

Awesome thanks that is what I needed to know! My employer and I have worked out that I can come whenever, I just didn't know if there was anything on the LMO that required me to be up right away. And I will be applying for the work permit at the port of entry as my employer is needing me right away.

    Once LMO had been received...

Can anyone tell me what I do once the LMO comes back? I am trying to get all of my stuff in order as the LMO should be back at the end of this month. I currently have two jobs. Am I able to give them a two weeks notice? I also need to make sure my travel arrangements are in order and all of...

    Holiday Travel..PLEASE HELP!

Do you think it would be beneficial for me if I possibly applied for a visitor visa? I know that I am not required to have one being from the states but it could potentially help my case by proving to them that I am trying to do things right..

Would it be beneficial for me to possibly call the immigration office at the airport and ask them in advance or would that not be a good idea either
