One more Pakistani student got rejection after AIP. What the hell is actually happening?

RIP my friends.

Visa refused after AIP, on eligibility reasons. Never felt so hopeless as a Pakistani. Didn't defer. Didn't do anything that would make them reconsider my stage 1 approval.

IELTS: 8.0
Program: Bachelor's in CompSci, University of Windsor.

And yes, rejected on the same reasons they provide to everyone - especially after AIP.

Edit: Yes, I applied under SDS. I have no previous refusals. My medical and biometrics passed months ago. No criminal record, nothing.

Yes. But sad day for Pakistani applicants in other threads who received the same letter but refused today.

Indeed its sad and its just Pakistani students who are receiving refusals aftar AIP. I have not seen any other nationality receiving refusals after AIP. Further, refusals are baseless in many cases as Afrokk said he does not have any travel history but still one of the reasons for refusal was travel history.
One thing is for sure that this letter is the AIP as everyone receiving the same letter. However, question is why eligibility met for Edmonton but not for Abu Dhabi office? I read your other comments and agreed that Abu Dhabi is the one who issues the final decision and Edmonton is just checking preliminary documents check for eligibility. However, do you think these refusals justify? And on top of that reasons for refusals are pointless.
I think either AIP or these refusals are sent by mistake and students should rIse the issue with IRCC.

Nothing is by mistake. At this level, the chance of mistake is very rare. The refusals are not justified what-so-ever. They either outright refuse an applicant or at least provide refusals for something that makes sense. I am 80% sure that Abu Dhabi VO didn't even properly looked at those applications. The only option left here for these applicants is to order GCMS notes and check the refusal reasons. If enough students have somewhat similar refusals with SAME initials than it can be raised as complaint to IRCC for that specific agent for discrimination.

I literally just got the AIP letter!
But not gonna tell my parents or even my inner heart isn't satisfied until i get PPR.

I got AIP in the email no sign of it in gc key or any kind of update.

Two weeks as per my observation. However, it might be less than that as Abu Dhabi seems to woke up now. And if AIP is from Abu Dhabi, you are good. Thats what i think!
