What to upload as a proof of wife's legal name change?

Yes. As a supporting document please submit a marriage certificate with the changed legal name. Please explain the same in LOE (Letter of Explanation). This is sufficient. Worked for me and many like us.

I'm also in the same situation. My spouse last name is changed to mine after our wedding. We have the wedding Certificate and her passport is also updated with my name as her surname. So uploading Birth Certificate(her father name included), legal wedding certificate were both our names are there and Passport is enough for Legal Name Change Doc. (required) in ITA?
Also could you share me the LOE format for this purpose.
Hi, there is no set format for LOE. Just make a heading of the Point you want to explain and just explain.
In this case - Name Change: In India, it's common that the wife changes her name as per the Husband's name after the marriage. As a supporting document I am uploading ..... (e.g. Marriage certificate, passport etc... whatever fits the explanation). Make sure that the document is legitimate. Please word the explanation appropriately.

Did you provide notarized doc for legal name change or is it just marriage certificate & LOE enough?

My wife is primary applicant. she has all her education documents, ECA & couple of employment letter with her Last name which is before marriage.
However, we have marriage certificate, Her passport and latest employment reference letter with Last name which is after marriage.
Do we need to update in express entry profile (Post ITA) where it shows "Any Previous Name" (Yes or No)

Hi Rutuja, not able to understand what you are trying to say! but let me explain it anyway.
Let say one's name was Pinky Patel before marriage and later she changes to Pinky Kamal (husband) Patel on the passport. The marriage certificate will help establish a connection for this change because it will mention your name as Pinky Patel.

Yeah, don't worry about that. Along with New passport which has a new name, a Marriage certificate is good. Explain the reason for the name change in the LOE-Letter Of Explanation. In this case, it is marriage and it's a common trend/ritual in India that the wife adopts the husband's name as a middle name and last name. Please word it properly. I did the same for my wife.
It's very common and by now Immigration officers are aware about this.
