Hello,

I recently got the CoPR. I am planning to go to Niagara Falls at USA-Canada border.
Do I need any kind of visa?

Can anyone explain how will this work?

Thanks,

If you are not going to cross the border you don't need visa,

Can I complete the PR process without crossing the border at USA-Canada (Niagara Falls)?

You Do not need any Visa ,You just cross the bridge go to USA side, meet the USA BSF person , they will give a form and and sign it ,take it come back to CANADA side and follow the process they ask.

Hi guys,

Came to this section of the forum from the Express Entry side. Seeing this thread, it seems many people were requested for photos for PR card? Why is that? I took fresh photos the same day I sent out my PP to ottawa to get my COPR. Is photo request for PR card an exception or the rule?

Hi
I have a question... I just read a post about landing Canada from Champlain/Lacolle border at "Landing experience @ Champlain/Lacolle border" as bellow by davidPR:

I completed my landing this weekend. I think my experience would be helpful for you guys as well specially if you go with your own car from within Canada to Champlain/Lacolle Border.
First, after you pass the duty free before reaching the US gates, there is U-Turn marked as "Nexus and Immigration" on your left which you can use to go back to Canada without being rejected by US. Then the Canada gates will give you a yellow page and you need to park your car after the gate and go to office.
They take your passport, COPRs, CSQ, and bank statement and ask you to have a seat. Then call you again to sign documents and have a seat again. Then call you and say "Welcome to Canada" and send you to next counter for entering your belonging in your country of origin which you want to bring in future.
That is it.....
Done!"

Could you please let me know if it is possible to do landing like our friend's experience, or have to pass US gates?

Just joining this thread...

Landed: 25th April, 2017 - Etobicoke

Landed: March 23, 2017

Still waiting....

Landed in Etobicoke march 20 and got our pr card friday may 5. :)
and i did notice as people were mentioning about how ecas status changed back to dm from complete after card is received..

I can confirm that this happened (i checked wednesday and my status was still complete (since we landed it had been complete) and yesterday when we got the card we checked ecas and it changed back to decision made!
