But i just have one question: How do you know your photos were received?

You will never know.
CIC won't say "we got it".
I called and they didn't check for me.
I only know that Canada post delivered it and somebody signed it.

Good luck.

Seems like thats the only option you have.
You always have the option to route through US and by vehicle if you are dead worried.
Or stay longer to get the PRTRD :-\

Just to add; the PR card adopted a new design
where it has the parliament hill instead of maple leaf.

As always, google is your friend.

I guess nobody else has a question.
Signing off. Good luck y'all

Getting a PRTD is very easy and does not take too long. In London, UK it takes about a day. Combined with VFS processing and mailing, 3 days max. Getting a PRTD is particularly easy and straight forward for newly landed immigrants. Hope this helps.

Hey all, i got my pr card after photo request in just ten business days. For now I am signing off ...its been a crazy few years but thankfully its all done. I will pop back into the website from time to time but if anyone has questions please pm ...best of luck to everyone on their life in Canada.

I spoke to the London office last week and they told me it would take 5 business days, not including posting/delivery

Hi
Finally I got my all pr cards.
Landed 19th june with a family of 4.
Got 2 pr cards on 2nd Aug and got to know about photo requests of remaining 2 on enquiry by phone.Got email for my photo request on 2nd Aug. My pics reached cic on 5th Aug(forgot to include letter but my details were mentioned on envelope) and my son's reached on 8th Aug (as they told later about my son's pic request on further enquiry by phone.Actual request reached by mail on 12th Aug due to lack of email address of our son)
Got my pr card on 23rd and for my son on 25th August
My advice to every1 is to call cic after the time frame for pr card production reached and follow up them with calls until you get your pr cards as they are really slow most of the time to send photo requests if any error in them and waste lots of time
Good luck to everyone
