Flying out and coming back to Canada is no problem.
Just learn about PRTRD.

As for the photos request, I got a pdf stating a application number and the new specs.
The PDF states to include the printed PDF along with two photos in the mail.

Thanks but he won't be able to get a PRTD. We are flying to Ireland for 2 weeks and there is no VO in Ireland. Would have to send application to the UK and it wouldn't be processed and returned in time.

I'm lucky VAC is right near my destination.
You always have the option to go to the USA and crossing by vehicle.
Truly sad how they cannot get the cards produced & out in a more organised fashion.

While I wait for my PR Card, is there a problem if I leave Canada for a few days? I have a EU passport and I don't need a visa to re-enter Canada

Hi all, just called CPC and they informed me that all my cards have been printed and sent out on Aug 12th, while we landed July 5th.

I'm hoping they arrive this week, good luck to all of you still waiting.

Doesn't matter who you are or what passport you hold.
If they run your passport, they will see that you are a PR and ask for PR CARD.
Either you present them a PR CARD, or PRTRD.
If you don't have either, you might get rejected entry, be punished with misrepresentation or such.

sorry this is completely incorrect. If you are from a visa exempt country like the EU you do not need to show PR to enter Canada. Where that may change is later in the year you are required to have an ETA much like a US esta and you cannot apply for that if your PR. So when that is implemented you may have an issue.

I have flew back from the states myself I have an Irish passport still waiting for PR card and I was never asked for PR card or PRTD as my passport is exempt.

I don't know about that.
I am from a visa exempt country myself and I've heard that you cannot hold two status at once.

If you enter Canada like that, aren't you coming in as a visitor?
I know for a fact that one cannot hold two statuses in Canada. (visitor and a pr?)

Officer who proceeded to land me specifically told me that you need PR CARD or PRTRD.

Landed here on 16th May still waiting for PR Card
I advise you make a case specific enquiry online. I landed on 30th May and after 50 days made a case specific enquiry, and 5 days later i received new photo request which I have sent for all 5 of us. Now waiting for card. How long does it take after photo resubmission?
