Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

We are waiting for my wife's PR card, which was mailed on June 24!!

Anyone else in the same boat??

Yes, unfortunately.
They say my card was posted on Jun 30th, but I still haven't got it even though I have received other letters that were posted after that.

landed on May, 7th in toronto, received my card today. I am still waiting for my wife's card though. Guys has anyone had the same issue?! I wonder when we may receive the other card?! thnk you

if it makes you feel any better, I am still waiting for a cheque from CIC, which was sent weeks ago. I've got my Pr cad though, but CP is taking its time to deliver stuff. Good luck!

Landed: March 30
Req for new photo: May 30
Cic received new photo: June 10
Received PR card: July 15

I am in same boat. I was landed on march 26, req for photo on 16may. Photo recieved on 24may as per tracking number. It was recieved by Dan Lewis. But still no update from cic. I called them few days back but they said they still working on 1st week of may. I donot know what is happening. Why they are keep us waiting.

Cards arrived today on July 15.
Landed in BC on May 1.
Card mailed out on June 29 and 30.

Why are you still waiting for health card, you can get it right away using your landing PR paper!

Not in Ontario. It takes 90 days after arrival for the Health Card coverage to start. Ergo, the card will arrive just around the time when the coverage officially begins.

The new PR Card has an inbuilt chip with all personal information of a resident. It is not really advisable to send a card by mail / courier outside Canada. Applying for a travel document is quick and easy and the most risk-free way of re-entering Canada if a PR does not yet have a card on hand. I got my travel document in one day in the UK. Processing times vary from 1 day to a maximum of 2 weeks depending on the location where one applies for a travel document. Hope this helps. Cheers!

I'd never risk sending such important id/doc internationally or domestically.
Why not just apply for TRV for PR?
That is the proper way of doing things and it seems like it doesn't require whole lot of time.

Why put the pr card in the hands of people (10+ people?) who doesn't really care for your package
when you can just apply for TRV for PR.

well after waiting so long we got my husband's PR Card on Friday July 15, 2016
He landed in November 2, 2015
8 and half months later - we got it!

Hello,

We have landed on May 6 but haven't received card as yet. I just checked ECAS application status. It has not been updated after decision made. Please advise do they update after dispatching PR card or is it possible that its not updated even after receiving PR cards. We have done short landing and have given our relative address to deliver cards. Please advice.
