Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Canada Post has issued a lockout notice starting on Friday, so what will happen to PR cards?!
Being an immigrant myself, it is not racist to say that Deepak Chopra has overstayed his welcome! How on earth he, being an immigrant himself who receives 500000$ salary, decides to put all hard working Post Officers lives & Canada Post Corporation in jeopardy and even declines Trudeau's request to resign?

I landed on Apr 21st in Calgary office, but still waiting for the card.
Called CIC just now, being told the card is sent on Jun 17th but can take up to 4 weeks to receive. Call them again if still no card passed the 4 weeks.

Is is normal that western residents have such a long mailing period? Anyone experienced this issue at all?

I hipe they will continue to work. The news said that it is not a sure thing that the operations will stop so there is also a big possibility that they will continue to deliver mail during the lockout period. Hope situation gets better tomorrow.

I landed in Calgary on April 28 and still waiting too. i have not called CIC yet but planning on calling by the end of this week if I don't get the card before then.

Just call CIC and tell them that it's more than 60 days already, I'm sure they will know the status of your pr card.

Same here. mailed yesterday, i hope it will arrive before Friday. I hope they mail everything before Friday.

Same here as well. I really hope they don't lockout/strike at all, so everyone will be able to get their cards in time.

Could you please tell me did you get request for re submission of the photos? if yes what is the rules and when did you get the request for resubmitting? i asked immigration officer do you need any photos he didnt take any photos and mentioend attached photo is enough.

No, no request for new photos but you can call the call centre and ask the agent to send you the email for new photos that you might get at some point, so you can mail them new pictures proactively with an explanation letter to avoid delays if they need new photos
