Quick question please

Got a photo request with an envelope. Should I use same envelope to send photo or I can use Canada Post express post envelope for tracking?

Is there a way we can have tracking if I send same envelope? Please respond

Hi,

Don't worry about application status. It's a good sign that your Canadian address is updated meaning your PRC application is in-progress.
I landed in Jan and even got Permanent Resident Card. Mine is still showing as Decision Made !!

Cheers !!

Hi Kiranmayi,

You can use Canada Post Priority service to send the same envelope.

It's tracking enabled which will let you know the successful delivery.
My buddy posted for me from Toronto and it costs only $2.50. It was delivered in 2 business days.

If you want to have signature confirmation, you can post it to the courier address as given below. Service cost may vary.

49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS
B1P 5Z2

Hope it helps :)

U can use same envelope to send photos. U don't need to buy xpresspost envelope as Canada post will label it as xpresspost. They will attach a sticker on it. I did same and it reached there on 3rd day.they will give u tracking number too.

Hi Guys,

I am sure this question has been asked million times but i will ask again since I am worried when I will receive my Wifes PR Card.
My wife landed on : March 06, 2016
New photo request : April 17, 2016
New photos received by CIC: April 26, 2016

I am wondering by when can I expect to get her PR card since we have to leave the country on July 20th, 2016.

My second question is that on the permanent resident card photo specification it states on the back of ONE photo " bear the name and date of birth of the subject, as well as the name and complete address of the photography studio, bear the date the photograph was taken, the photographer may use a stamp or handwrite this information. Stick-on labels are unacceptable."

However, I put my wife's name, her Date of birth and photography studio stamp and date on BOTH the photos. NOT just ONE. I just hope that would not cause any issues. Please advise. Thanks!!

Hi edmonton1985,

I also write all information on both photos (NOT ONLY ONE), and no problems. After that I received my wife PR card with NO issue.

I think now CIC is processing end of March applicant. So wait for a few more days. GOOD LUCK.

I hope you will get PR before July as it is in process and all they need 2-3 months.
Photo is OK, but if u have doubt forward another copy with the same reference and numbers to avoid any further delays

Thanks for a quick reply! I appreciate it. My only concern is that whether I will receive it before July 20th. Otherwise, we will have to then get travel document and that is really risky in my country.

I received my PR card on May 11th.
I landed in Coutts, AB on March 20th.
So it is 50 days in total.
Good luck to everybody for this final phase of the game!

HI Guys

I needs an urgent response from you people. I landed on 7th Nov 2015 and received a request for Photo resubmission on 27th Feb 2016 . I sent my photo's on 10th March and received by CIC on 13th March . Its been almost 2 months passed after resubmission and still I havent received my PR card . I am calling regularly to CIC but everytime I am getting an answer that it is under process . I am wandering may be they missed my photo's by chance . in this forum i am seeing majoriy people who sent their photo's received by MIKE but in my case it is received by some other although I sent my photo on the same address as mentioned on the letter .

Is their any way we can call Sydney office directly , I am calling CIC and the feedback is same . Also when they dispatch the ststus of application will be change or CIC rep cant tell be anything about my application

Guys please advise what to do , I am planning to resubmit the photos but any other advise will be appretiacted .

Thanks

I just called CIC and they told me that they shipped mine and my wife's PR cards today - hoping these are actual cards and not request for photos.

I landed on 27th March at Pearson. I will let you know if I actually receive the cards :)

Hy gk08, happy to hear your good news. Which no did you call to inquire about the PR card.
Thanks

Does anyone have a general idea as to how long it takes after photo re submission? Does it still takes like 49 days plus shipping or is the time frame shorter than that? I heard people who resubmitted their photos are getting their PR cards shortly. Is that a trend or is it just how CIC works? Thanks!
