Hi Everyone - So I landed on Mar 27 at Pearson and waiting for my PR Card.
I have to travel to Europe in few days - what are my options?
One possible option is to continue using my work visa which did not get canceled when I landed - can I use that to get on a flight and show COPR to the immigration officer once in Toronto? Thanks.

Your passport and CoPR are enough to get you in to Canada, but not on a flight. So I think it is wise to use your temporary visa to board a flight, provided the airline accepts it. Try asking the airline beforehand.

Hi All,

I would really appreciate any help in the matter.

We didnt recieve my wife's PR card for almost 3 months after landing, so I called CIC - and they told me that the photos didn't meet the specifications and that we have to resubmit them. The call center guy then emailed me the photo specification. - but the problem is, we didn't receive any official letter asking for the re submission of the pictures. Could anyone please tell us, how do we send the new pictures to CIC? Do we just send the pictures and the Supplementary Identification form (IMM 5455)? DO we need to send anything else? How would they know the application number or the UCI based on this form only (since it doesn't have any space to write them).

I would really appreciate any insights. Anyone who has re-submitted their pictures, could you please tell everything we need to send??

If you read this forum's earlier posts, you will see many similar cases. Based on those, I suggest attaching all the main documents you can... and don't take chances. No harm in sending more than required.
So, attach CoPR, print of the email you received and of course IMM 5455.
Good luck.

landed Oct 23 2015 (Emerson, MB)
Husbands PR card arrived late January 2016. Nothing for me or for our child (I was the main applicant)
Month later I got request for new photo.
Still waiting >:(
The dumbest thing is, all our photos were taken at the same time at the same photographer and how come hubby's was okay and I had to do it again :P
I landed Oct. 19,2015. Still no PR card

46 Days Pr Card Processing Time.. Call CIC. Keep updating

Hi Everyone,

I just received my wife PR card just now.

Finally finished to deal with CIC for the whole process. After 1,615 Days = 4 Years, 5 Months, 2 Days (from 01-Dec-2011 to 04-May-2016) for the whole process, over. I think in the forum my case is the longest ever. Anyway thanks a lot and appreciate for everything to Seniors, my friends. GOOD LUCK for everyone.

Best Regards,
Myat

became PR on December 24, 2015, and bought ticket to travel from May 21-31, assuming that 5 months will be enough to receive a card.
in March I got a request to send new pics, I did.
and now what?
2 weeks left till I am leaving to Russia, no PR Card yet, and when I call them they can not even confirm if they received my pics. no info at all..........
so frustrated, not to mention that I had to wait for my PR for 2 years! applied in Nov 2013, and became a resident in Dec 2015. >:(

What my understanding is... each agent behave differently, some give you details you need and some may not. So if you don't get information from a agent, call again and try with your luck with next agent.

I totally agree with you. And the good thing is that they dont have record of your previous calls. I have called several times in 1 day to get the answer that I needed.

Photo resubmitted n received by cic april 6/16, finally today when i called cic, the agent says that they received photos and its under review and process, fingers crossed! Atleast it shows they received photos, lets see!!

Today, I got my PR card..

Hello everyone, My Timeline
Landed Dec 24 2015 (Douglas, "Peace Arch" BC )
I got request for new photo. Mar 16 2016
131 days since landing

Now my question is, Is this normal? I mean I have been waiting since Dec for my PR card, and in March I get hit with a new photo request by mail. Is there anyone with similar timelines?
Its funny you think the process is over once you land, but truly there is way more to the process once your here :(

Hi all. I am planning to land on July 2nd with my family “6 persons” at Toronto airport. I am PNP “ New Brunswick” applicant. I am planning to spend 50 days in NB. For the purpose of planning, can someone help me with some inquires:

- Can I land & complete my landing process on Saturday “July2nd”?
- Do I have to give NB address, or I can give any address in Canada?
- Does 50 days enough to get PRs?

Plz if anyone could help,

I hav some questions regarding filling PRTD form:

Questn 18 humanitarian and compassionate grounds. Do we hav to fill that question

Is residency obligation compulsory. Bcoz mine is 62 days since i became PR.

Is there a chance they cud reject PRTD? Seniors and others plz input ur info.

Thanks.
