If your card not arrive by the time you leaving Canada, just one opinion. Apply Permanent residence travel document(PRTD) and also your uncle can collect the card and send it to you but you will take a risk to lost and missing.
Thanku soo much meya

Is there any possibility that CIC can call us to collect PRcard in person.... Then what can i do?
Actually i want to return back after 1 year..

CIC won't call you or allow for pickup in person. They're quite inflexible with their system unfortunately.

Your PR status won't be cancelled if you return without a PR card, however, it's highly likely that you will be denied to enter Canada. Just make sure to apply for a travel document when you are in India before coming back to Canada. the processing time varies from a few days to a few weeks depending on Countries.

You won't be denied entry into Canada if you can make it to the border or a Canadian port of entry (as long as you have your passport and CoPR). The risk of not having a PR card is that you might not be allowed to board the aircraft from your starting location without the proper paperwork. This is why you can enter Canada from a land crossing in a private vehicle without a PR Card - you get to the border yourself and there's nobody who can stop you before arriving there.

I'm on hold right now. The automated recording said that the processing time has come down to 66 days (still says 71 on the website).

I'll let you guys know soon what they have to say.

Can you send a link which shows the PR card processing time after landing. Thanks

I don`t think you have any chance of getting PR card till your trip. You will need to apply for Permanent Resident Travel Document. Mine was valid for one entry and 6 months time. It was $50 and you can pay it online or in embassy( visa office) in India, in their currency.
If you are in no rush someone can send it to you. But, you will not be able to board plane without PR card or PRTD, COPR is not valid for travel if you have already landed( except in personal vehicle traveling from USA).

Quink are you sure you heard 66 days?
Because when I call the I only hearbthe processing time for old pr card holders
If its 66 thats perfect
I want my card in january :(

Hello all,

Thank you all for all the valuable information.

I need your all URGENT help.
I have landed in Ottawa on 17 Sep along with my wife. Till the moment, I have never received our PR cards. Currently I am outside Canada, so I called CIC to inquire about the PR card, the agent told me to submit a Solemn Declaration form for me and for my wife stating that I have not received the Cards. The agent said that it takes up to 6 months to re-issue the cards. The thing is , I am currently outside Canada, and I intend to give a another friend address to mail the cards to, but do I need to update the home address and the mailing address on CIC website, is it enough to update the address on my account or shall I update the addresses on my wife's account as well?
One more thing, since I don't have any current home address, and I have only mailing address, what Shall I write at the home address on CIC website? shall I keep it empty? What is the difference between the home address and the mailing address?

Please I need someone to explain to me.

Thanks all
