Agent said my card is still in processing and I can expect my card some time in January.

Last time they said my card is still in processing and I can expect my card some time in December.

So I guess when I call them in January they'll say I can expect my card some time in February. :o

This is bloody ridiculous. >:(
Dear quink:

Dear Quink,
My wife just called the CIC agent and she asked for the landing date i.e Sept 29
She did not ask any further questions and said that your 92 days have not yet passed, if you do not receive cards by Jan 04 then rang us and only then we will take the information from you and open the application to see where the problem lies. till that time you just wait. Now 92 days is the new maxim :) could not understand its philosophy. I hope we will enter in 2016 with card :)

You are absolutely right, it's totally a matter of luck.

To put a positive spin on things, I count myself extremely lucky that it's only the PR Card that I'm waiting for. There are people in the December 2014 PNP thread that are still waiting for their passport request and CoPR, whereas I landed on 30th September. My journey to permanent residency is done, and it's just a formality now. Those others are still stuck on closed work permits, worried that they will end up having to leave Canada or might never get the chance to arrive at all.

I've been pretty frustrated recently, but on contemplation this perspective makes it seem not quite so bad.

Wishing everyone the best of luck with whatever stage of the journey they're currently at. :)

Yeah, where did the 92 come from? It's 71 on the website and 66 on the recorded message as of this morning. They're throwing darts at a dartboard while wearing a blindfold!

The 92 days come from the fact that they add 3 weeks to the processing which is 71 days currently. That makes it 92 days.

Each time I called them, they gave me a deadline of the processing time + 3 weeks since the landing date. So I got a deadline of Dec 10 the first time I called and Dec 29 when I called on Dec 17.

LOL, yeah that's some CIC logic right there. I guess it's too hard to just add 3 weeks to the posted estimate. Heheh.

Guys I landed on October 18th, 2015 and updated my address with them on October 22nd, 2015. Still waiting for the cards to be mailed....... >:(
I wonder which landing date has started receiving their cards yet? A few pages back I found someone who landed in early part of Sept and got their cards. What is the current date now? My job is going to require me to do frequent trips between Canada and USA and with out the PR card it is going to be very difficult. Also, where can people track the status? When I log into my account on CIC website it just says that I landed and became a permanent resident.

I just made my fourth call as well and the rep told me to wait until January, which is really unacceptable! I did try to ask her the reason about this delay, but she told me she couldn't contact the immigration office unless my case is overdue (based on posted official processing time).

If your card not arrive by the time you leaving Canada, just one opinion. Apply Permanent residence travel document(PRTD) and also your uncle can collect the card and send it to you but you will take a risk to lost and missing.

You can apply for Travel document in India. I am also in same boat. I will also apply for Travel document.

you uncle can collect it. PR card is coming through normal post, so whoso ever have access to mail box. if you are looking for option to send your card through post just send through Fed Ex of any other courier service which seems good to you, So you can track it.
