Question for you...

Once landed.. did you have to send a new application to get PR card or is it automatically processed or requested when you do the landing?

It is autonatically processed once you finish landing procedure..

Hi All,
I am landing in Toronto by Nov 8, going on a relocation by my employer. However I will have to come for a two weeks vacation (family reason) in end of December. I have few questions.

1. Can I get the PR card processing expedited by giving the proof of travel in dec? I will have to return by 45-50 days of landing.
2. In case PR card is not arrived, Can I go back to India and apply for a travel document from NDVO and travel back?

Experts please help..

1. No. Expedited processing is applicable only for PRC renewals..Current processing times for PRC is 44 days so u have a chance of receiving it before going back, or a friend/relative can receive it and forward it to you...
2. Yups, u can apply through VFS in India and you should get it smoothly...I'm not sure about the Processing times though, make sure to apply well ahead....

Edit- you say u are going to India for 2 weeks only, so I'm not too sure if PRTD can be processed so quickly,...if you have a US Visa consider landing in US and take a rented vehicle to Canada...(you can enter Canada from US on personal vehicle using only COPR)

Usually ECAS changes to Complete when they have processed your card and is mailed out within next 3-5 days. Then it can take 5 - 9 business days to reach you.

In my case, ECAS changed to Complete on 7th Oct and card was created on 13th Oct and mailed to me. Reached me on 20th Oct. I am in Calgary

Yes you can call CIC from outside Canada.. I did the same...If i were you i would update ECAS this week itself, eventhough you have given Canadian address at landing. Your address should be visible in 7-14 days after you initiated address change in ECAS.

Hi,

Please can you let me know the number to call from outside Canada? I tried calling on this number (001-888-242-2100), however, automated operator says that the number is wrong.

I landed with my family of 4 in Edmonton, Alberta on the 6th of September 2015. All four PR cards were issued on the 20th of October, 2015 and it was delivered in the mail on the 27th of October, 2015. It took a total of 51days after landing for me to get it. I changed my address online and it reflected within 5 business days and the cards were delivered to my new address.

E-Cas is still showing decision made.
