I phoned yesterday CIC and they said that I can contact them again only when the processing time has passed because before that, they cannot access to my file and give information about the status.. (when I became PR was only 38 days..)(26 of April).. Anyway.. I have to prepare the travel documents since I have a trip scheduled in 12 days.... (finger crossed until the last day)(you never know!)

I am wondering why it takes 57 days printing a card. I mean the did all the check and stuff already......

Good luck guys

Just called CIC and the call centre was close. However, the recording said the processing time for PR Cards are now 80 days if you landed after April 1st (please call and find out by yourself). This is absurd in some many levels. I need to travel in 2 weeks and I thought at this time I would have had the card. I landed in April 5th, it's been 58 days and no news until today.

Don't confuse the other people. The processing, for NEW PR people is 57. For the existing PRs is 80!

Here is the link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp

You have waited 58 days? Expect your card by the end of next week, hopefully.

No need to confuse others, the one confused was me after hearing the recording (CIC). Hopefully, I'll have some news at the end of this week. Otherwise, I'll keep calling them non-stop. Thanks and +1.

We did our landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport on 27th March and gave a Canadian mailing address to ship the PR cards.

After waiting for more than 02 months, I called CIC yesterday to inquire about the status of our PR cards. The agent informed that cards were shipped to my Canadian address in Mississauga (he confirmed the address) on 6th May. Upon inquiring why it’s taking so long to receive the cards, he said to wait for 02 more weeks and call CIC in case cards are not received.

I understand that PR cards are shipped through snail mail, does it take more than a month to receive the cards after shipped from CIC?

Note: My Mailing address in ECAS was not updated, however CIC agent told me the correct Canadian address which I provided upon landing.

Appreciate comments from experts and those who have faced similar situation.

I landed April 10th. That means I have to wait at least another week or two. Maxmoore, could you please update if you receive your PR card this week.

Hello folks,

I have one questions, after landing in Canada i ll look for jobs. my question is how delays in PR card effect landed PRs?
I saw that delays are exceeding 2 months, but i would like to know what actually that mean.
