hi all! I just called CIC this morning, and they said my card was mailed out yesterday to my mailing address provided.

Great new! However, do you know usually how long it takes for the mailing process? I need to travel outside Canada really soon next week.

They use regular (snail) mail, so it depends on where you live, but I think it should be there within 7 days (but nobody can tell you for sure). You can always travel without it and have someone send it to you, now that you know it will be there soon.

Done our PR landing yesterday, the woman said it should take 4-6 weeks to receive our PR cards.

Congratz! She was right, currently it takes 40-50 days for most people... You can get some other things sorted while you wait :)

Thank you bud.

Yeah,Monday I'll go to service Canada and get a new SIN,then registry office and update Alberta healthcare, send of the child tax forms, tell the bank,my work, and the kids school.

So glad that hurdle is out of the way now!

No problem :)

Just so that you know, some people went to get SIN and the system wasn't updated. I waited 2-3 days until my ecas changed to "complete", and when I went for SIN their system was updated, too. Could be it was a coincidence, though, but don't get surprised if they tell you to come back later again.

I just called CIC to check where my PR card is. We landed in Sarnia on Feb 16. To my big surprise, I was told that my address in Canada was cancelled from my document on March 2. I don't understand what happened at all because when I go to CIC's on-line service, my address is right there!

The guy sent me an email with instruction to update my address, and told me to call again in 48 hours to verify with them.

To those who did not receive their cards in time, call CIC! Don't wait! You don't know where their bottom line is!

Good luck!

Thanks mate!
I'll hold off for a few days then to be safe.

Right, So I just called up the CIC and the agent gives me a flash news that my file does not have a Canadian Address on it. My mailing address on the file was accidentally deleted from the system on march 10 and sent me a link to update my address again.

Anyone who have landed in March 2015 and have got their PR cards??

Hi everyone,

I landed in Toronto Pearson airport on 4th February 2015. I provided my relative's address in Toronto. After 1 week, I had to leave Canada and I left there on 11th February 2015. My PR card still is not received to my relative's address.
There is no new line on my ECAS as well. The last one is: "You entered Canada at the Lester B Pearson International Airport, Terminal No. 1 office on February 4, 2015 and became a Permanent Resident."

I am wondering how I can chase it while i am outside Canada? and How CIC informs me if there is any problem with my PR card?

Thanks

Thank you for your reply. I am just worried if they realize that I am not inside Canada at the moment, they will terminate the process of my PR. Do you have any advise?

Oh may be you are right, could seniors answers this? Or anyone from outside Canada who has called them?
BTW is your home address shown in Canada when you login to ECAS and what about mailing address?
