Just landed! Currently it's 40 days approximately to receive the card, right? If so, I'm expecting it to be mailed around May 15th. Shall we follow up with CIC by phone about the status of this?

Hi,
you don't need to follow up the card procedure. Just wait till it arrives by mail. If you'll be waiting more than a month call the CIC and ask about the card status.

Quick update:
Application: Nov-2013
Landing at Niagara Rainbow bridge: 16-Feb-2015
PR cards have been dispatched on 27-Mar
(to the updated address on the CIC website, different from the address given at landing, this was due to bridge work permit already in process)
Collected from lawyer on 02-Apr

Hello,

I received my PR card last week. My wife's card arrived a week before mine. :)

Cheers!!!

Hello Mates,

I landed on March 28, 2015 . Waiting for PR card now. Could please advise me, Is there any way to check the PR card status online rather than calling cic.?

Thanks for feedback !

Landed on March 29th. Timeline added to spreadsheet. It's 35 days on CIC, and it's not that differend from what I see at the spreadsheet

Edit: Just checked, this thread is for CEC... I'm QSW but don't think it would make much difference...

What is QSW

This thread is in CEC section, but it's used generally for all PR cards (first one after landing), so you are in the right place :)

Thanks,

Did you call them at all? I think you should be getting your card soon, but maybe call and check did they mail it, is your address in the system right, etc. Most people wait between 40-50 days, but sometimes it happens that it takes them longer, so don't worry, just call and check.

Hi

We landed on 6th March and waiting to hear from the address at Canada to receive our PR cards!

Hope to get soon by the grace of God!

One more question please .would the PR cards be mailed yo the home address specified (which is in Canada) or mailing address which is outside Canada?
Thanks

They always mail it to Canada (since you become a resident at landing, it is considered you are staying at your Canadian address).

Sometimes though they mess up addresses if you had one Canadian address as mailing address and then you changed it at landing (eg. some people have lawyer's address in the system, and then they change it at landing). In such a case it is good to call CIC and check what address they have in the system as mailing address, since ecas does not always reflect what they have.

And feel free to ask as many questions as you need, there will always be someone to answer :)
