Hello all, I have received new photo requests for my wife and children. Any suggestions as to whether these docs should be sent by Canada post or Courier.

Update:

As you may know, I received my original PR card on 25th Feb. However the card has a mistake and I had to send it back to CIC. I did that on Feb 27th.

I finally received my corrected card today in the mail. Finally, I can rest!

FYI, sometimes CIC agents give misleading information (not sure why!). I have been following up on my case multiple times. 3 times the agents told me that the new card was mailed out on Mar 3rd. Then on Mar 24th, I was told that the card was in production and was mailed out on Mar 23rd.

If folks are not received their cards on time, it may make sense to follow-up multiple times giving a gap of 4-5 days between calls.

Hi Guys,
Hoping if someone has been through my situation or can help me.
I landed on 23 Jan at Pearson, and the CBSA officer asked me for my mailing/home address where the PRC needs to be sent, I provided him my current home address which is also my mailing address.
After few days , when I logged in to eCAS check my status it showed both my mailing and home address have been changed to the right one which I gave upon landing.
Today after 50+ days when I did not received my PRC I called the CIC call centre the agent told me that my home address is correct (which I gave at landing) but my mailing address is still of my lawyer and that my card has been dispatched on 6th March, which I should have received last week or will receive this week.
Unfortunately my lawyer does not use that address anymore.

1 Who do I believe the website and hope my card will come at the right address?

2 Or I believe the agent and go to the address and speak to the recipient there?

3 he asked me if I want to make my home address as my mailing address offcourse I said yes , but what's the guarantee it will get fixed??

any experts please advise.

regards.

Hi Dodo,

The same thing happened to me. When I called the CIC agent, they mentioned that my mailing address is my lawyers address. However, in my case, the card still came to my home address. It might just me miscommunication. Call back in a few days and check again.

Hi all,

PR card is always dispatched to the address which one provides at the time of landing....

Hope this helps!

Not really! In a few cases it happened they had a wrong address in the system, although at landing the right one was provided. The best is to call CIC and check what address they have in the system as mailing address.

I landed on Feb 16th too and am still waiting - has anyone who landed on this date heard back yet??

Yeah, I landed on Feb 15th and received my PR cards on March 27th

I got my PR cards on 31st March. and I did landing on 14th Feb. But surprisingly CIC sent my PR cards at my lawyer address even if I provide them my home address when I did landing. I called multiple times to CIC and they always said that I will receive PR cards at my home address but not sure why did they still sent my PR cards at my lawyer address. And interestingly CIC sent my spouse card at my office address.

So guys I would suggest that keep checking all your addresses when you are expecting your PR cards and you don't receive them on time. CIC can do crazy things some time :)

I just received my PR card in the mail - white envelope, not brown. As expiry is Mar 20th, I assume that is the date it was printed.

Congratulations :) I still have 6 more weeks to go before I receive the card.

To me it was important because I am not visa exempt, and I have some travel plans. I assume for visa exempt people it is not very important (except for medical insurance in BC)...

Me neither and I have travel coming up in May. Hope I receive it by then.

Good luck with that. I was planning May, too, but didn't buy tickets, because I was afraid to jinx it...

Hi everyone,

I've landed on March 24.

Just a quick question...
During the PR application process, I had a problem with CIC that they kept sending all mails (CoPR & Medical request) to my previous address even though they had my updated address....

I just wanted to make sure I get my PR card to the correct address. Does anyone know where I can call to confirm the address?

I called 1-888-242-1000 so many times, but the automatic voice always says all agents are busy....

Is there any other number I can reach?

Please advise.
