Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Hi,
Today I got my daughter PR card(They have mailed the card on 14-Jan and it reached Brampton today.)
CIC agent told that myself and mywife PR cards are mailed on 15-Jan and I am hoping to receive by early next week.

Hi all,

I live in Vancouver, Canada. I just received my passport back with PR visa issued and the COPR. I know that I can go to US border nearby and do the landing. However, the problem is after that it will take around 48 days for my PR card to come and I need to go out of Canada on January 30th, 2015 to Bangladesh by plane and I am coming back on February 15th, 2015 to Canada. I do have a temporary visa and I am pretty sure Visa officer at the US port of entry will cancel that once I go there for landing in 2-3 days. But my PR visa would still be valid and I don't know whether they will also cut/cancel the PR visa.

I am not sure how I can reenter Canada at Vancouver airport on Feb 15th without the PR card. CBSA website and CIC website are saying that I can come back as long as I have a valid travel document. I don't know whether the PR visa (will be valid for 10 more months) would allow me to reenter Canada.

Another option can be, I don't do the landing in US port of entry in the next 2-3 days and go out of Canada for Bangladesh on January 30th with the temporary visa and do the official landing on the Feb 15th at the Vancouver airport with the COPR and PR Visa. I know I can do the landing at port of entry to Canada.

Please guys let me know what I should do. It's kinda urgent and my wife is panicking.

Make your life easier.... go to Bangladesh and do your landing when you come back

If yes, then what is procedure: should i inform CO at the time of landing with proof or return ticket.

i am sorry, there is no thing like 'urgent process' for newly become PR status holders. you have to wait till you get it, how ever long it may take!!!
right now the processing time is about 2 months. Hope that it will get faster by the time you land. otherwise, plan your stay according to that.

Sorry ,No their is no urgent processing for first time PR card.

;D what a timing Today it was my 5th anniversary in Canada
AND got PR Card today, same day 19 Jan. 2010 i came to Canada 5 years ago .

PR landing 28 NOV.2014 Rainbow bridge.
Card in Proc. Jan 9.2015
Approved Jan 14.2015

MAILED out Jan 15.

I think they forgot to process early November applications.
