Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Hi All,

We (me & my wife) got our PR cards yesterday. Our timline -

Landed: 15th Nov 2014
PR Card In Process: 12th Dec 2014
PR Card Complete: 10th Jan 2015
PR Card Received: 13th Jan 2015

Hi everyone,I'm new to this topic.I have landed in Vancouver airport on nov 19,the border officer told me that I will get my pr card within 6weeks,but still,I got nothing.

Also,can I check if the pr card has been mailed on ecas? I can't log in to my ecas anymore,I used my uci to log in,anything wrong with that?

So I called CIC again this morning. I was told that my PR card was sent for further verification because there was some unmatched info with their system while printing the card. And it'll take extra WEEKS or MONTHS to process it!!! My guess is that they made mistakes， maybe typos or something, and we pay for it!!! So unfortunate we definitely have to reschedule our trip. Good luck soso23. I think we had the same problem. Since you already waited for months, I believe you'll receive your card very soon.

They only told us its in process. I'm so tired of this. It doesn't even show anything on Eva's about PR card application. I wonder if anyone got the pr card and it didn't show on Ecas for them.

I called twice before today. They both told me "in process". But today my call was picked up by a lady who sounded to know better. She provided very detailed explanation and the exact date for my card sent for verification.

Hi guys,

I got my PR card. My status in the ECAS says complete but when I click to get the details, I only see the in-peocess status:
We started processing your application on January 6, 2015.
Will another line get added to this ?

Hi all,

I live in Vancouver, Canada. I just received my passport back with PR visa issued and the COPR. I know that I can go to US border nearby and do the landing. However, the problem is after that it will take around 48 days for my PR card to come and I need to go out of Canada on January 30th, 2015 to Bangladesh by plane and I am coming back on February 15th, 2015 to Canada. I do have a temporary visa and I am pretty sure Visa officer at the US port of entry will cancel that once I go there for landing in 2-3 days. But my PR visa would still be valid and I don't know whether they will also cut/cancel the PR visa.

I am not sure how I can reenter Canada at Vancouver airport on Feb 15th without the PR card. CBSA website and CIC website are saying that I can come back as long as I have a valid travel document. I don't know whether the PR visa (will be valid for 10 more months) would allow me to reenter Canada.

Another option can be, I don't do the landing in US port of entry in the next 2-3 days and go out of Canada for Bangladesh on January 30th with the temporary visa and do the official landing on the Feb 15th at the Vancouver airport with the COPR and PR Visa. I know I can do the landing at port of entry to Canada.

Please guys let me know what I should do. It's kinda urgent and my wife is panicking.

Do you have a multiple US visa? if so, then you can return to USA and enter Canada using your COPR. So, travel back to NY for example and rent a car to go to Canada.

As you might know, the PR visa is for one time use and once you do the landing it expires.

Your second option is to apply for Travel document in your country and I heard that it takes 3 to 5 business days.

Hello Guys

I landed on 8th Nov 2014 and they started processing my PR card application on Dec 01, 2014 and i still didnt receive my PR card. I called CIC and asked them that how long its gonna take to process PR card and they stated it can take upto six more weeks and still its not sure as it can take more than six weeks. I already planned my visit to india. Can anyone tell me that how to get travel document from india and how long will it take to get that travel document from India. i am going for just four weeks . I have heard its risky. Please advise.

Hey Guys! Finally PR journey came to end

for me and my wife. We got our PR card today. My file had a big hiccup of rejection but God had decided something else for me and my file got re-opened and today I got my PR card in hand. Woooohooo..

Hi After a break of few days i am Back on the forum

PR card in process Jan 9. 2015
PR card mailed out from CIC office Jan. 15,2015

AS i called cic they said they Mailed out Card on Jan 15.2015. Hope i will get in next week .Canada post say it takes 2 to 3 business days from sydney to Toronto.
