Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Hi mabhay
It is not uncommon for different members of the family to get PR cards at different times.
i would suggest that you follow up as it has been some time since you landed.also e-cas has been showing in process since end of october.
I am waiting for a few days more before i follow up with cic. This is because i see that my timelines are within others who have posted their timelines here. If the timelines are right, i should receive the card next week. if not, i will contact cic.

Thanks for your reply mahek286...I was away for a while hence checking this late. By the time I called CIC and they told not to worry and wait for sometime.

Does anyone's PR card ever get rejected (currently PR card status in progress)...? I thought my nervous jury was over, but there are still chances of getting the PR application rejected entirely...?

When they mean "in process", is it still under verification? I forgot to ask CIC.

I only asked if the "in process" they told me meant the same as the "in process" on the website. The call center agents sounded not familiar with the website status. They didn't give me a clear answer.

Congratulatons Gurindar! I hope they would have started mine as well. eCAS is still Decision Made with no mention of Landing or PR Card. Anyway, submitted a GCMS Notes for PR card last month. Hope to get it my January 18th.

It's been 5 months.. How much more longer do we wait? It's taking forever !!! I'm going to call them again on Friday. I'm going to keep bugging them until we get it.

You are making me so nervous. We plan to travel in Feb. May have to reschedule News said CIC made a lot of mistakes processing PR applications last year. Why can't they take this job more seriously!

I know these things create unnecessary worries as CIC is too inconsistent reflecting changes on ecas , i called them yesterday they said the card is in Process and confirmed usually e-cas doesn't reflect real time process it lags , So don't worry ur PR already and eventually you will get the PR Card too.

Congrats.
My ECAS updated same as yours.
But still my ECAS is showing the old address where as when I called the CIC, they told that they have the new address.
Hopefully they sent the cards to my new address.

In that case my friend i believe they have updated the address in file though it might not have updated in e-cas . Rest what is in the file matters r8t.
