Me too

What is the difference between new permanent residence card and initial permanent residence card?
since they both have different processing time I want to find out which category do we fall in?

I have landed during first week of June, but still PR card not received? Now processing time showing as 21 days? Where we can check our PR card status?

they told that snaps submitted at time or arrival are not up to specification, so I have to submit 2 Snaps for each person in their office. I have to go to their office with passport and COPR.
It is specifically mentioned that I can't send pics by mail.
Date given is 25th July if otherwise I want to change.

Take care.

Hi Subu75,

You received your letter on the 23rd and was told to go to the office on the 25th? That's really close. I am worried what if the mail gets delayed and I miss the set appointment. Did the letter mention anything about that?

Thanks.

Same here. I kept checking but there is no status showed on Ecas yet for pr card. I think there are still working on May applicants. The processing time showed on their website is for recently landed applicants.

My ECAS shows a new table for PR card and says that they started processing on July 21, 2014 (I landed on May 10).

I called the call center on July 17th and again on the 22nd. I was told on the 22nd that local CIC office will contact me about new photos.

Any one who got correspondence from local CIC saw their ECAS status change before or after they were mailed with instructions to send new photos?

Thanks.

I had landed on 14 May not yet received my PR Card, not sure looks they really slowed to send the PR card.

For my case. I called cic last week regarding new PR card. Cic told me that local cic will contact me. I check my ecas today and shows that PR card has started processing on July 22. Local cic haven't contact me yet. Let's see what happen next

Thank you Master... :)

landed on May 27th. Called CIC this Tuesday (July 22nd) and CIC told me they have sent out the card

Received our PR cards this morning.
Landed: 25-May @ Boundry Bay POE
Card Issue: 21st July 2014

Now, I can relate this to the procesing time of 21days. My Home address window was updated in ECAS on 30th June 2014 although I landed 25 May. From 30th June they took 21days to process my card which is the processing timelines. Hope this make sense to all....

Good luck to all who are in the waiting game....

Is it valid for 5 years from date of issue or it is linked to passport expiry?

So the 21 days don't include the time you are in the queue.. It only starts counting when they start processing your card application.
