And unrealistic. I don't think anyone who landed 21 days ago has got their PR card. If they are projecting the future, I mean I can't even get my card in 21 days, so how can people landing today get theirs in 21 days?

Not unrealistic at all, look at the PR card spreadsheet for 2014. I landed on May 8th and received my card on Jule 16th, together with applicants
who landed weeks after me.

Oh, here's the link: >> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsFmKvHOgoF5dGh0d2Q1VDJDOE5iRGFwZ1ZtRmdfSEE&usp=drive_web#gid=20

Processing times were as high as over 90 days and are down to 40 ish right now.

I'm not privy to the card issuing process but it may go something like:

Waiting (backlog): x days
Processing: y days
Manufacture and dispatch: z days

Total time: (x + y + z) = currently 21 days

It seems to me that the biggest variable is the backlog, and the time taken to actually process and make the thing is not that great. So if the backlog has been essentially eliminated I don't see how 21 days is so implausible. Of course we will believe it when we see it :)

Yeah it's 48 and 52 days for the two people who got their card today and yesterday. 21 days is still projecting the future, and being very optimistic. I think they should get their data from the past, from the cases that are already processed.

I know people who got in 33 days ..so i guess its a avg time.

I am not sure, how many of you have noticed this. I logged in to ECAS and I can see status for my PR card as in process. So one status is for PR application and that is complete. Another status is for PR card and that is in process. I landed on 27th June and status is showing as below for PR card

1. We received your application for PR card on 27th June.

2. We have started processing your application on 16th July.

Weird, I just logged in and I don't see any status for PR card. I only see the status of PR application as "complete". I landed on June 7th and still waiting.

Why weird, I guess, this is good as you can track your PR card status too now for first time applicant.

When u landed?

Weird as in I don't see any status for my PR card application like you.

Ok, maybe they have started this recently and available for the applicants who did landing in last one month. This is just a guess.

I landed on May 10th, that was two months back. The PR CARD Application box started appearing in ECAS from today.. It says they started processing the PR Card on July 18th.

Good, did you receive your PR cards? I landed on 27th June and for me they have started processing on 16th July.

Maybe they haven't started processing my PR card, hence there is no box on my ECAS.
Maddy123 probably got update today due to the backlog clearing (old processing time) and skm12345 got that status in conjunction to the new processing time for recently landed applicants. Just my guess but I'll be patiently waiting for my card since no one who landed in June get theirs yet according to the spreadsheet :)
