Landed on May 9th. Phoned CIC on July 16th and the agent told me it was not yet processed and he sent a note to get the status of it, and I was advised to call back after 3 days. I phoned in again this morning and I was told the PR card was mailed on the 18th.. Following up might be of help, ey.... Good luck, guys...

Hi Rawfile ,

As mentioned in my earlier posts, despite having landed on 20th March, 2014, have not received PR CARDS yet as file for the whole family is under VERIFICATION.

Would be grateful if you could advise how to check reason for variation with CIC as they never mention anything whenever my son call them.

If it is under verification, you should still be getting them by now I guess. You crossed 4 months already right..
In this forum, I have known few ppl whose application went for verification due to some information missing on their COPR. But they have received their cards 2-3 weeks later than the usual Processing time.

Better to get in touch with CIC and ask for the reason for this delay and if they are expecting any other info from you!

Thanks, let's hope we receive cards soon (based on your observations). Meantime I have asked my son to keep chasing CIC.
He did ask CIC in his earlier calls to advise if they are expecting any other info from us but they wouldn't say anything except ' file is under verification '.

Appreciate your concern and sharing experience with us.

Hi. We did the landing at Carway Border, AB...

Thanks...

Experts any thoughts?

We did our landing during the last week of Apr'14 and received PR cards for all of us but not for my child; and unfortunately, we had to travel to India even before we got her PR card. Now, received a letter from CIC that we need to submit the pictures of my child again. The return travel date is scheduled for mid Aug'14....I'm planning for applying a travel document but came to know that VFS office in India doesn't accept the application for travel document and they have advised us to reach out to Canadian immigration office through an email id....and wait for their response. not sure what to do now...

Please share your thoughts....

Why you can not apply for travel document from VFS india, their website is not saying anything like that. I have the same situation ,waiting for PR card and travel is confirmed for Aug mid. My plan is to apply travel document from India.

Now if u call after couple of days then agent will tell that local cic office will contact you.

As per my analysis, when we call first time they send email to local office about our pr card.
After couple of day, when you call second time agent will say now local cic will contact you soon.

You were correct. I called them today and they told me that the local CIC office will send me a mail to send new photos and a form with that. She said the mail will contain instructions about where to send the photos. When I asked her about what happened with my old photos that I sent with my PR application, she didn't have an answer to that.

This is so frustrating to get delayed when you as an applicant have provided everything required and then you are asked to provide something twice. It looks like a lot of people who landed in Rainbow Bridge around May 7-10 has the same issue. Hoping to get the mail from the local CIC office soon.

I have landed on 16th July at Rainbow bridge, they took my home address and said that the card will be mailed within 8 weeks. After 2 days I saw my ECAS been updated to complete with my home address been added, but mailing address still showing with my lawyer, Do I need to change the mailing address as well in order to get the card at my home ?

And unrealistic. I don't think anyone who landed 21 days ago has got their PR card. If they are projecting the future, I mean I can't even get my card in 21 days, so how can people landing today get theirs in 21 days?
