When did u land and what feed back you have from CIC office about the delay in your PR Ccards.

What I don't understand is what causes or make them to verify information that delays the issuance of such an important document for new immigrants ( they check each and every detail before issuing immigration visa).

I want travel back to Canada with my family to join my son but can't travel without PR Ccards.
I am aware that we can enter Canada with Travel without Documents but visa office takes many weeks to issue such document.
If you are desperate to come back to Canada and hold a valid US Visa, you may come to US and then cross the border through a car or bus. COPR is sufficient if you cross the border through car or bus.

Hello guys...I have landed on May 13, and i noticed that while ago my ecas changed in to 'Decision made' again from previous "Complete" status, and today it changed to "Complete" again but i didn't receive PR card yet..could you guys tell me, is this the current PR card processing trend? How long will it take to receive PR card?

There was a technical glitch which changed the status from Complete to Decision Made in ecas.
It is resolved now. So, the status is back to Complete. The status on ecas is not reliable. Better to call CIC to know the progress of your PR card processing.

Average processing times can be found here - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsFmKvHOgoF5dGh0d2Q1VDJDOE5iRGFwZ1ZtRmdfSEE#gid=20

Oops, I was looking at your timeline and thought you landed on Jun 5. Over a month more for me to wait for the card, then.

I got my COPR today and going to land this week. Between my TRV got expired and i have to travel to my home country on next month. So what you guys would suggest?

Current processing time for PR card is 43 days and i dont have that much calendar days before i start travel.
Should i apply for TRV before landing? or it is fine to apply emergency PR card? if so what is the procedure? or better to land after my travel?

Seniors please help.

You can just use your CoPR to get back into Canada when you complete the landing process. No need to apply for a TRV.

If you are going to your Home country, you can do the landing when you arrive at the airport.
Then you neither have to apply for TRV nor wait for PR card.

There is NO Urgent Processing for First-time PR card.

If you apply for PR card and go for vacation, you can travel back to US from your home country and cross the border by car/ bus using COPR if you have a US visa.

thanks for your reply.

My wife will come back to Canada after six months and our CORP is valid more than that. So she can land when she comes back without any problem, right?

Just curious, if say i land on this week and still can i apply for TRV?
