I landed at Carway, AB on December 30th and now the final wait starts
It looks like whoever landed at Carway had to wait longer than average processing time. I hope its not always the case.

I know a friend who received it in 1 week from the date coc received the application.

I applied too and the app is in processing.

Just wondering if one has to submit any application for issuance of PR card after landing OR the officer who completes your landing information at the border transmits the information electronically to CIC. While browsing CIC website, I came across an application package to apply for PR card so got confused. Those who have successfully received their first PR cards, please advise. Thanks!

Initial pr card application is automatically submitted by the officer when you land. No need to submit a separate application. Check your ecas - as long as it says complete and you see landing details, you're good ..

When you land, do they give a work permit like PR status document or the immigration officer just give the copy of our CoPR with the signatures?
I got the later when entered through Peace bridge, one of my friend mentioned that he got some different doc..
Is it true guyz ? Did I miss something while landin??

COPR is in fact your PR status document based on which you apply for your new SIN, health card...till you get your PR card.
I don't think you missed anything. Relax and enjoy the new year as landed immigrant 8)

so u waited for 3 months for the pr card . I landed on nov. 2nd, 2013 and was told by the officer that it will take 6-8wks. so based on ur trend, I still have to wait for extra one month :'( :'(

I hav same issue like you they asked me to send new pic at december 06 i sent right after so when did they ask you for new pic could you plz tell tell me brifly coz i landed oct 11 at prescott port than dec 6 ask to send new pic plz tell me
