Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

The officer told me to expect my card within 4-6 weeks.

Dear ceclmo777,
I landed on october 11 but i just request to send another pic so now i send them but did you get ur pr card after resending another pic plz let me know how did you send and every details

what I received by post is a letter which asks to submit new photos, and a copy of the COPR with a red stamp on it saying "return this form"

Before even I received the letter, I came to know about this from CIC and they send me an email with all this information. Along with the photos and the COPR, I also sent the Supplementary Identification form (IMM 5455). There was no mention about this in the letter received from CIC but CIC agent's email contained this information too.

My new photos reached Sydney on Nov 18 and till date I am still waiting for the PR card.

Just called CIC to check what is going on with my PR card at 63 days after landing.
I was told that they can send a note to Sydney NS processing centre only after overdue exceeds 8 weeks!!
Can you imagine? so 44days+8 weeks to be able to push Sydney guys. And she mentioned this rule is active since last week.
No notes on my file, and she again confirmed if there was something bad with the photos, i would know by now.

Losing hope..

Me and my family landed in canada on 18 oct. and left again after 20 days due to family reason. now the problem is after 40 days i rcvd my son's and wife's PR card at the mailing address in canada but till now they did not send mine one. also no letter that i need to send photo's or something like that. 44 days already gone as per processing time. people saying i should wait at least 8 weeks. means till 18 DEC.

need suggestion. what kind of problem is this. shall i call them after 8 weeks? or should wait further.

I called up CIC just now, they said I cud expect the PR card only by February.
I landed on Oct 19 th, suddenly there is a huge delay.
There is no way to expedite the process too.

btw what's the reason for this huge delay in processing pr cards?

I landed on the 19th. Did you really buy this bullsh.t about this imaginary delay?there is no delay. They just try to look like they are working by putting reduced times on the website,when in fact they request people to resend photos so as to reduce the work load. It's the lowest trick ever I expected from cic. It's not possible that so many people get requests to resubmit their photoes because there is something wrong
