I got my passport back recently and I plan to do landing soon.

Do I need to "apply" for the PR card or will the request be made automatically once I land by the CBSA?

You don't have to apply for the PR card. This will all be done when you complete the landing.

Called CIC, they told me the card is in production, so far no problems with the photos. Told me to call them again on Monday if i dont get it by mail, then they will need to push Sydney's guys by sending a note.
I asked her again: so my file went from non-started to in-process for sure? she confirmed.
So the waiting game continues.

44 days now(so at first 38 then 45 then 41 then 44.they cant seem to figure out how much time they need.Why bother changing the times if they never follow up?

Hi guys,

Some updates on my PR card:

I landed on Oct 2nd and am still waiting. Called CIC twice last week and this week. Both agents said there's some issues with my application for PR card. They say it looks like the border officer didn't submit a complete application for me and one agent said the border officer didn't put my "landing date" in the system. They said they are requesting new information from my landing office. Looks like it's been two weeks but there's no updates! They also cannot provide an estimate on when this can be done.

I have upcoming travel in January. This is ridiculous. It's too much trouble and probably not even possible for me to apply for a travel document. And plus, I don't want to pay $50 and my time because of their fault! Is there anything I can do now to make this faster or anywhere I can complain so they can take it seriously?

So many people get this type of request that it's ridiculous.there is definitely something fishy about how they process pr cards

No i called them they said we sent you letter for resend pr photo but i sent them before i got there mail

Landed @ Rainbow Bridge yesterday.
The officer told me to expect my card within 4-6 weeks.
