Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Whats going on they said my pr card coming this month 25 nov but still no sound i landed 11 october and officer told me 4 to 6 weeks i will get my pr card

Landed Oct 2nd. Still haven't received the card.

Called CIC today. The agent said they are still processing my case, "they are requesting addition information from the landing post", but the agent is not sure why so and there is some delay... The agent asked me specifically if I signed the CoPR and that the officer at the border handed me one copy and took the rest of the paperwork alongside with my photo. I said yes. I feel the border post I landed at didn't send all required paperwork to CIC. He didn't say so explicitly and he cannot give me an exact time of when the card will get issued but he asked me to call back next week to check with them.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation? How long will it take from now?

I landed on 11 october but i called immigration office and they said you card will be ready by december 09 but i dont know why it should be ready by now coz its now over 45 days proccessing time

I have a question regarding the first-time PR card. After landing, do you need to PR card on your own seperately? or you can just wait after landing, it will mail back to you? I am a little bit confused now.

Those morons can't get anything right

Guys, do you think that Canadian embassy issues travel document without any problem? i need to travel oversees without PR card and I heard that in some cases they question your status in Canada. However, I recently got my PR and my 5 years time frame has just started, so according to me there should not be any issue in getting TD. Please give valuable thoughts guys :-\

OK, now its 41 calendar days according to CIC on the website.... It all doesnt make sense at all..

I have done a lot of research on the processing times for travel doc if you apply from India and as per the forum members it seems that it is around 25-30 days. New PR's are generally not denied of this document. So you should be getting it.

What's the point of reducing processing times if they can't leave up to it????
