Hi everyone. I have a question. Before January 15th, 2022, in the new portal, for parents' visitor visas, for the question: Why do you need a visa? There was an option: To unit with immediate family. But they eliminated that answer. So what is the correct answer now? I'm not PR. I have PGWP.

Even I am confused with new options, I am applying for my parents visitor visa(not super visa) and planning to choose - To visit my grandparent, grandchild, sibling, half-sibling, step-sibling or non-dependent child who is Canadian citizen, person registered under Canada's Indian Act or Permanent resident of Canada. My thinking is that I am non-dependent child for my parents. Can someone confirm if that is correct.

I applied for my parents visit visa this January from Pakistan to visit my sister who is in Canada and expecting her 3rd child, who need parents support. I have attached property documents of my parents and business registration of my father and along with my sister doctor’s certificate and invitation letter.
Today I got refusal letter stating based on family ties in Canada and in your country of resisdance. I showed my father bank statement of two banks close to 20,000 CAD.
What should I do next. Should I reapply or not? Need your guidance.
Sorry to hear this. Have they travelled to Canada before?

Guys, I had applied visit visa for my inlaws in June 2021, still, nothing happened after biometrics. Is it good to apply again now? or just wait since they are starting working on backlog applications. Any suggestions much appreciated.

Applied on 3-01-22
Biometric on: 10-01-22
Refusal letter on 26-01-22
I think mentioning your sister pregnancy is the reason for refusal. I watched a YouTube video that tells not to mention such type of things for visitor/supervisa. These visas are not for helping out kids in Canada in time of need.

Hi all,

I am applying for Super visa. Some people say that I should get the invitation letter notarized and some people say that I don't have to. Can someone please clarify if we need to notarize the invitation letter for Super visa or not?

Thank you.
You don't have to. Just your signature on it should suffice

You should definitely reapply. I just got my in-laws TRV approval based on my wife's pregnancy and help needed around. Calling for help during pregnancy is definitely not grounds for refusal.

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to update a timeline for my parent's Visitor Visa application, I applied from Canada as their representative.

Application Submitted: 30-Jan-2022
Biometric Received: 31-Jan-2022
Biometric Scheduled (Ahmedabad): 04-Feb-2022

I can see some status changes at top of my parent's application in Biometrics, there is some number, Bio Metric Date and Expiry date. Does that mean their Biometric is updated on the portal?

Can anyone tell me what should be the next process? Do I need to update anything on the portal now or just wait game?

It Totally depends on application flow and each application takes its own time. Most of the files right now getting cleared around 45 days.
