Hello...
I got ppr on 30th January and sent email on 2nd February cic for change of vo to New Delhi as my spouse is in India.
Since then I have no reply from cic. It's more than 3 weeks. I m sending my passport to Ottawa today with explanation why I m sending my passport only to Ottawa and still waiting for their reply back for my wife's visa in New Delhi as 30 days limit is nearly finished..
Anyone in same boat please share your experience

Hi All,

I got married last year and included my spouse in my application.
I got visa ready email from CPC Ottawa office to send passport for stamping on 19th Feb 2015.
As I am currently living in India, I requested CIC to make arrangement for stamping at CHC-New Delhi.
I got the request from CHC-New Delhi on 24th Feb 2015 to send passport.

Now, my wife is expected to give birth towards the end of September.
We are planning to do our landing in Canada by the end of March 2015 or by 1st week of April.

Do I need to disclose to CIC that my wife is expected?

I am confused as the email which I received from CPC-Ottawa and CHC-New Delhi differs in their requirement.

Please suggest if it is fine to land and become PR and later inform CIC.

Below are the content of the emails

Hi All,

I Have applied for FSWP in Jul 2014 and file being received on 2nd Jul 2014 to CIC. My Visa office is New Delhi.

I have my third line updated saying 'Medicals Received' on 8th Mar 2015.

Now currently I am in UK London, so how can I submit the passport to New Delhi while I am in UK. can I ask New Delhi CIC to change my visa office to London CIC for visa stamping.

Has anyone came across this situation.

Can anyone please guide me on this.

Thanks.
Sugeet.

My Visa office is New Delhi (NDVO) and I have completed my Medicals/RPRF.
I am expecting Passport request for Visa Stamping at New Delhi Visa Office but currently I am in Canada on temp work visa.
How Can I complete my visa stamping in Canada itself instead of travelling back to India for visa stamping?

Hi,

I believe the latest information CIC has that you are in India. So I would suggest follow the rules mentioned in the letter sent by New Delhi.

And yes, you will have to inform New Delhi guys that your wife is expecting. It is also mentioned in your letter in change of circumstances.

Good luck !

Hi,

Well I would suggest send a mail to visa office in New Delhi with Ottawa office in 'Cc' in your mail and explain your situation. Your VISA stamping office should change accordingly.

All the best !

Hi,

You would have to send a mail to VO in New Delhi explaining your situation. Your visa office for stamping should change accordingly.

Last date of passport submission

I got Passport request for me any spouse on 28th of April. My lawyer emailed CIC on 30th of April to request stamping of visa at local CIC office for my husband in India. On 21th of May I my lawyer sent 2nd email to CIC for update. The last date of passport submission is 28th of May. But have not got any reply back from CIC yet. My lawyer do not want me to send my passport to CIC until get response back from CIC . I’m totally confused, what should I do at this point. Should I wait for response back, or sent my passport without my lawyer approval. ?

Re: Last date of passport submission

Just be careful that when it all backfires your lawyer won't correct it (that is if he can) without cost. S/He will still charge you for the remedial actions.

I would suggest you put this in writing to your lawyer and advise him that you are not happy, that you propose to send the passports as you are concerned that CIC could refuse to issue your visa after 28 May and if that happens will s/he give an undertaking to remedy the problem without any cost to you.

All in all, it could all turn to custard in any event and your lawyer could end up not being able to do anything, s/he is not CIC.

My advise, take it or leave it ................. send your passport and advise CIC that your husband is in India and request his visa be issued in India.

It is very simple, you don't need a lawyer to do this and you MUST do this now and put it in courier on Monday morning, you don't have much time left.

Thank u so much for ur response.
Actuallly i moved from another province to ontario and did not update my addresss on file. All the communications from CIC comes to my lawyer address so when i send cic my passport should i provide them my lawayer's address to send it back.

You can change your mailing address online

But if I change my address now... it will take long time to update on system.. i do not have that much time to wait

On eCAS it will take a long time but on the Database it is quick, 1 or 2 business days
