It is a little bit surprising to me that you got your acknowledgment by mail because most of the new applicants (October onward) have received their acknowledgment by email.

Good luck

Hi > I just had my Oath ceremony yesterday. It was a pretty interesting experience. Our invite is for 8.15am.

7.30 - Arrived at the Expo Blvd building at 7.30. Go for Coffee around the corner at Starbucks. There's a 7-11 too (it's one of those lazy ones that dont have too much hot food sitting ready. Waste of 7-11 franchise!).
7.45 - we get into line. and it builds up fast - One thing we learn later is there's absolutely no need to rush for anything.
8.00 - The lines moves in.
8.15 - Upstairs, first we get checked in at the same desk where the Citizenship immigration officers interviewed after the tests. Everyone gets a go in a timely manner so no rush. all in all about 20mins. Make sure you have your both permission papers signed (Parents sign for their Kids). you'll need TWO CANADA issued photo IDs (eg.Drivers and PR - or medical card) PLUS need that white form you got when you did your Landing PLUS the invite note.

about 8.45 - Then we get moved to the ceremony Hall. We get designated numbered seats.
about 9.00 - Judge comes. it's about 20mins for that.
During the ceremony the Judge mentioned you get your Citizenship certificate but you cant apply for passport until after 3 days.

about 9.20 - We took a pic afterwards with Judge .

9.35 - ALL DONE. We were out and ready to leave about 9.40am.

The parking complex has 2 hours parking for $10 and $12 for 'until 6.30pm'. Now you know it takes less than 2 hours, park with that in mind... maybe even outside meters (if you can use your pay-by-phone app)?

It was a really great experience and big sigh of relief that all this stress is finally over. Like the Judge said, look around you and be kind with your fellows and extend out a hand of friendship as a Canadian.

best wishes to you all.

Congratulation! I guess I have to stop checking ECAS for any oath information. Almost 4 months after I took my test and check ECAS evety other day. I also did a chanGE of address which is not reflected in ECAS either
