Urgent: Got Refused for Germany flight

Hello everyone
I am a protected person holding a RTD, I had a flight today from Toronto to Budapest , transiting through Munich. I have been denied to flight they asked for PR card and i said i don't have it. I have my notice of decision and work permit but she said there is a new policy came effective 4 days ago, i was refused for flight. Does anyone knows if this is a mistake or what?

I think they are not worried about his return, could be about a policy of transit. Maybe they are requesting for visa if he has no PR card. Im just guessing.

Even with a PR, if you are from a country that requires a visa, you'll still need a visa.

It’s not about your nationality. I have friend who is from turkey and has been Germany a few times with Canadian refugee travel document. Direct flight from Toronto.

I dont know but if you check the link I posted above, in there appears people from Turkey needs visa, maybe that is new thing.

Anyaways also could be a mistake from the airline, in general young or junior clerks never are aware of some special situations. When I travel usually must wait until they call a supervisor before to register me in the flight.

Hopefully that is the case but you can check the link from the German consulate in Canada, maybe I understand wrong.

You are right, the other case is if he travel with country passport which is not the case.
Unless the lady showed what is the new rule, maybe it was a mistake from the airline. So sad.
