Hi,

Posting this link for CIC photo as not all photographers/stores can provide pictures in the specified CIC format.

You can try www.epassportphoto.com with the following steps.

1. Take a picture using any camera by following CIC specifications.
2. Upload to the site and it will let you select and format the picture for you.
3. Dowload and print it at home or at walmart on a 4x6 size to give you tiled pictures that you can cut.

Make sure you print extra copies as DMP recomend to have the same at the medicals.

I did the same with two of my colleagues who applied for CIC along with me, non of us had any problems and application was accepted at CIC. Cost less than a buck !

Thanks,

L.B

I found this, "Do not send originals unless otherwise stated. Send notarized photocopies of all documents except the police certificates, which must be originals. If your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the originals."

Source: http://www.cic.gc.ca/EnGlish/pdf/kits/guides/E37048.pdf

So, my wife's birth-certificate is not in English and it was translated here in the US by a certified translator. Does that mean, she still has to send a notarized copy of the translated birth-certificate (not the original one) and the original birth-certificate in her native language? What if they lose the certificate? How would they return that? Do I need to send a prepaid envelope?
I'd like to clarify your response. If you read carefully CIC wants only natarized copies of translated documents. Otherwise they need 'photocopies' not notarized photocopies.

We used a big paper clip on our application package. The only ones that was stapled are the envelopes for the photos since we want to make sure that it won't spill out once the package is opened.

It was accepted by the Buffalo Visa Office, so don't sweat the small stuff ;). What is more important is that the forms were properly filled up and attached documents are complete and arranged according to the checklist.

They can because it has to be certified or original issued copy.

HOW TO GET FBI FINGER PRINT CLEARANCE PLS. GUIDE ME.

hOW TO GET FINGER PRINT CARD?????
I AM CONFUISED
You can go to the FBI website to print out a card. But I called the FBI in Virginia and asked for a set to be mailed to me. The number is (304) 625-2000. You want to speak with Biometrics Customer Service. Then you have to take the card to someplace that does fingerprints - I had mine done this morning at my local sheriff's office. You could check your local sheriff or police department to find out where you can have it done. When you get the envelope from FBI, it will tell you where and how to mail the card back along with how to pay ($18).
Hope this helps.

As anyone noticed on Buffalo's website that they have taken down the Helpful Hints section? I had that page book-marked before and now when I click on it, the page has an ERROR message on it.
