The rubber band becomes necessary in some case where you have lot of documents, Court decrees, Judicial Proceedings, Notarized copies, investment proposals etc. Remember these Buffalo CIC based instructions are not just for PNP based applications but Buffalo also accpet other categories where paperwork is relatively high. Certainly staples and paper can be used but in certain cases but staples and clips rip the corner of original documents which they don't want.

Everything for me is stapled especially original copies notarized and most of them i had put Fold Back Clips so they won't get lost. If they are not happy they should at least put in bold NO STAPLES NO FOLD BACK CLIPS NO NOTHING. We can't read their minds what they want or they don't want. I didn't see written anywhere on the applicatioin what you should and shouldn't attach. Only perhaps to not send pictures in binder or folder and no muscial cards. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Why are we talking about original documents here? I thought only original documents we need to send are police certificates. Rest of the documents the CIC Buffao wants are notarized copies. Am I missing something?

Yes I agree with You Marlena - there are more maybe not original a certified copy like passport pages with photo visa and stamp with entry, marriage, birth - if they are not in English have to be translate (certified copy) plus original document on your language.

if You are not from AINP you need give them everything from check list - and all certified copy.

And back to staples - they have helpful hints You can find that on Buffalo gov website and they have that information about rubber band I try to contact with them (only email) but no answer for a long time.

Yes you are correct. If you had a birth certificate and other that you had translated they need original copy who notarized as well original copies of your birth certificate and others in your language.
