Hi,

Only PDOS is mandatory - the rest are voluntary. Here - from the website of the Canadian Embassy in Manila: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/philippines/visas/pre_departure-pre_depart.aspx

tabs179's blog give you a very good description of what these seminars are about and provides you info on what to expect in these seminars. http://tabs179.wordpress.com/category/journey-to-canada/

.../atb
thank you! i'm still on the PPR stage and haven't sent the passports to CEM yet coz we had to renew one dependent's passport. expecting for the new one to arrive this week so if basing on most forum mate's timeline, we hope to receive our passport with visa on the first week of july. checking if we still have time to do all the seminars before or target date to leave which will be on the 3rd or 4th week. i'm from the province and we need to fly to manila for all those seminars. hope we still have time for them. thanks again! :)

1st part: Canadian immigration application history

Q: Ilalagay ko lang ba dito yung scanned copy ng VISA ko? or meron pang ibang ilalagay?

2nd part: Previous stays in Canada

Q: Ilalagay ko po ba dito yung scanned copy sa passport ko yun natatakan sa immigration yung dates ng IN and OUT? o meron pa pong ilalagay?

Salamat po in advance.

hi all !
we got our passports back and CoPR! :D
Hi Malfoy,

Just want to check, where did you send your passports? was it at SGVO? I submitted our passports (my family) at SGVO recently and would like to know how long it takes before we can get our passports back

Thanks

Hello everyone,

We've done our medicals last May 31 and the doctor submitted the results on 09th June and until now, our eCAS status is still In Process. After the medicals, what is the next thing we should expect? Is it PPR? If so, how long (approx) it should take before they request for our passports?

Thanks.

Hi,

Ano ba inilagay mo sa forms mo na current residence mo? Manila or Singapore?

Often applicants put Manila and addresses in Manila as their current residence addresses, put in a selected VO as Manila and submit to CIO - so fixed na ang data mo at the time of application. Then they move - either for temp work or on assignment, so nagbago ang residence, but did not update the application. As far as the VO/CIC knows, the information on your application on the date you filed is current. Normally the VO chosen to process the application is the one that serves the country/region where the applicant is currently residing - so your current residence address/location + the selected/preferred VO indicated in the forms will add to CIO's selection decision of where to forward your application.

If at the time of your application submission, resident ka ng PH, and you indicated current residence is in the PH then definitely the VO chosen will be CEM.

Hi Ragluf – Salamat sa tulong.

Ung nilagay ko sa forms na current residence ung Singapore then ung VO office ko is Manila naman. 4 yrs na kasi ako ditto sa SG. Sabi kasi ng cousin ko dapat ung gamitin ko na address is Singapore then ung VO office is Manila.

Anu po ba dapat kung gawin?

@ zhay,

For now, you can inquire where the application has been transferred or to which VO the application has been transferred, but not directly ask the status of the application.

Hi Ragluf - anu po bang email address nila para makapginquire ako?

Good day everyone.

Tanong ko lang po: If "Decision Made" is showing in the ecas, does it mean that the visa is issued/stamped on the passport? Is there a case wherein in this stage the decision is "rejected"?

Thanks po.

We already submitted it last may 30,2014. We paid in managers check and send it through courier. I just want to know if they will send us an email confirming that they had recieve the payment and at the same time the additional documents? Need your advise guys..

You are a resident now of SG having legal status. This will also be taken into consideration when the selection for the VO where to process your application will be made. Take note that Q#4 actually states: "Immigration Office requested for processing this application" - you can request but the decision lies with them (CIC) where they deem best to process the application.

Nothing to do at this point but wait....

Back-read a bit - this information has been passed around in previous posts. See here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/timeline-for-filipinos-submitted-pnppr-applctions-at-cio-t93206.0.html;msg3048276#msg3048276

Just note that inquiries to CIO-NS: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/sydney.asp

How to Contact the Centralized Intake Office
If you are a federal skilled worker, federal investor, Quebec-selected skilled worker, Canadian Experience Class or provincial nominee applicant and you have a request for case information, you may contact the Client Service Unit of the Centralized Intake Office.

You will not receive a reply to your email if:
- you have not already applied under one of the above categories
- you are not authorized to receive personal information
- you applied within the last 8 – 10 weeks
- your enquiry concerns any other topic.
Please do not send the same enquiry more than once. You can reach the CSU at CIO‑Sydney‑Search‑Enquiry@cic.gc.ca.

Specifically - it means a final decision has been made on the application; all the evaluations/checks have been completed on your application. Nothing more can be taken from that unfortunately.

Officially (as CIC does not provide what these ECAS status actually mean) - it does not correlate to anything sure (i.e. does not officially mean visa stamped/issued). You can only assume that everything is well if all the requirements have been met within the timeframes requested by the VO and no major changes have happened to your status/sponsor status that may impact the decision. The general observation is that DM coming late into the process (after MR, after PPR, after all requests for documents - after all of these have been met) has a higher possibility of a successful application and a visa has been issued.

There have been cases of rejection at this stage - but very very few - and to that no posts recently (perhaps no more posts when a rejection is received). However, the possibility does exist - if you have issues on the passports (fake, falsified information, tampering), or if the results of the security check show something that leads to inadmissibilty, then rejection does come into the picture. Note applicants do not have inputs on the security checks - we submit PCCs for the criminality check, but the security check is done via internal agencies.

Unfortunately, VOs do not provide any confirmation of receipt of these submitted documents or the check payment. This is why it is recommended to submit documents via courier and have tracking/receipt with signature included in the courier delivery. The tracking/signed receipt of package becomes your "acknowledgement" of the submission. For online payments, the receipt generated after payment is your only proof of payment; however the receipt still needs to be sent to the VO via courier to make sure it is "received".

See here - look at the 2nd half of the message - on notifications to the VO:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/timeline-for-filipinos-submitted-pnppr-applctions-at-cio-t93206.0.html;msg2211625#msg2211625
That may help.

You can use the pre-check questions whenever you have doubt in whether to add or not add documents to your applications, whether they are in PNP LoA application stage or at the Federal PR-PNP application stage.
