Hello house. I know it's frustrating but try not to focus to much on the in process update because mine did not change until the day I got an email stating my husbands visa are ready. It's a waiting game but God will surely see you through victorious! I just wanted to thank the house and all the members for you support advise and encouragement. I am happy to announce that at long last my husband will be joining me in Canada this week. ;D

I hadn't thought much of it over the months but was starting to get a bit worried, so this is reassuring to read. Big congratulations to you and your husband, what a happy and exciting time! All the best to you both :-)

Oh I'm at peace now. So how do I get to know that my file has been forwarded to the Accra Visa Office?

They would tell you in the SA e-mail that they are transferring the file to a visa office. Check your e-mail again. Accra rarely sends AOR, unlike some VOs. Even though ecas is not that reliable when looking for realtime actions on our files, it can give you info indicating that your file is in VO. Hope this makes sense :)

Whoever is the Canadian is the sponsor, and the other person is the applicant (non-canadian).

So, with what i just read, seems you are the sponsor and your husband is the applicant.

@ tolexmi thank you for your response! Please what do I do after the payment. Who do I send it to? Someone said I should use the case specific entry.

Yes please, use the case specific( for Accra VO) and also upload the receipt. There are columns for UCI and File Number , even though it says optional , please fill it up,..

@ Babily
Hiya, I sent you a link in my previous post to send case specific enquiry to AVO. Follow it, it asks for UCI # and other info. It also allows you to attach files. Remember CIC would have sent your receipt in PDF form to your e-mail upon payment. Hope this helps.

There is no straight forward answer, however if they need further info, they will contact you sooner than later. If they don't need any info, you won't hear anything until they are ready to issue the visa -which could be 3-6 month (tentatively).
So hang in there...
