Have you checked the eCAS to see whether the Sponsorship approval was done ? I hope you checked your junk mails as well.

Yes I religiously check all emails including junk but nothing is there. Also ECAS update says application recieved on 15th Aug 2017. No update. Even ONLINE link of application doesn;t show any new message.
What do you guys suggest plz

I tried GCMS and i got this response

We regret to inform you that we are unable to process your request for the following reasons:

1. We require that you confirm which specific type of file you would like to receive:

· The sponsored person’s application for permanent residence (i.e. the immigration part of the application processed in a Visa office); or

· The application to sponsor a family member (i.e. the sponsor’s application processed at CPC Mississauga).

What is the correct option I should select in this case - can any one help me with this as they have asked me to resubmit with above choice.

You can check the second one for now, as you havent yet heard back for your sponsorship approval.

Hello Guys,

I was looking for this thread from long time, and just found. Thank you all of who are helping here.

I have to start application for my daughter to sponsor her. here is my situation

I and my wife for got PR status after short landing in late 2015 and at that time we were in USA on H1 visa. My daughter was born in december 2016 in USA. we moved to canada in January 2018 for good. I am still working for my USA company and getting Paycheck from them. My wife just started working (cash job for now). As of now My daughter is in India with my parents. (I can bring her to canada on visitor visa but I want her to spend some time with my parents)

I need some help to get started my daughters application. Please, let me know what are documents and forms are necessary to file her application. Should it be Inland application or out land? Should I choose India visa office or USA visa office or canada visa office? Should I start process by myself or need hire any lawyer? Any good recommendation lawyer in canada?

Hiring a lawyer is a personal choice.
But in any case, I'd prefer you read through all the documents (there are guides and some website pages) mentioned in the link provided above by glenn.
Apart from the application forms, the other documents you need to prepare as supporting docs will be
- Kid's birth certificate.
- Your Marriage certificate.
- Group photographs.
- Your Employment letter
- Your Canada finance proofs
- Your most recent Notice of Assessment of Canadian Tax filing.

Refering the Document Checklist in the application package will be a great start as well.

Finally, My kid is a PR ...
After receiving the PR Visa and COPR, I was reading about the Border crossing threads. Most of the popular borders were not allowing Landings on weekends. So, I went ahead and spent 40 minutes trying to talk to an IRCC agent. And once I got to talk to one, I asked to put me in an appointment request for inland Landing. She took my address and put in the request. She told me, that I'll get a call back in 3-6 weeks. And then they'll tell me an available date.
When checked, she told me I can still go ahead and do my border cross landing, but let IRCC know after that is dopne, so that they can cancel the appointment.
To my surprise, exactly in one week, I got the call from local IRCC office and said, if I can go to them in 2 days. I was like, "Oh, Yes... At what time?".
We went in there 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. Checked in. Asked us to wait. And then another applicant came. They had the slot before us. So, they were called and done in 15 minutes. They the person called us (that was 15 minutes earlier than our scheduled appointment). We went in. It took 10 minutes. Normal questions. Address and finance proofs (they had asked me to bring these for the appointment, when they called). Asked me to sign on my son's behalf. Wished us congrats.
And we were out within 5 minutes.

Went to Service Canada and applied for SIN. (Health card was applied earlier when we got the PR approval letter).

congrats !! I will appreciate if you can share your timeline as when you applied and when you recieved PR.. I am waiting for my son as well. Its been 7 month now

I am a recent permanent resident and I want to sponsor my 19 year dependant son who resides in Australia. My questions are:
• There are several required forms that we both need to sign. How do i get him to sign his part? Do I send the pdf documents to him via email?
• Am I suppose to submit his passport photo with other the documents? If yes, What will be the most convenient way to get his PP photo.

You can email the forms to him... He can print it out, sign in and courier/post it to you.
Then you can fill the rest and sign.

He has to get his photographs taken from AUS with the Canada PR size and mandates, and can send it to you along with the forms.
