Do you know what are the next steps after Eligibility approved? Mine is in progress since April
After the sponsor is approved, the focus shifts to the main applicant. The next steps are usually the medical exam, biometrics (if applicable), and then the PR portal process.

First, you complete Portal Step 1, where you submit the applicant's details such as eye colour, height, and other personal information. After that, you complete Portal Step 2, where you upload the applicant’s photo and confirm the mailing address for the PR card.

Once everything is approved, you’ll receive an email confirming the PR approval and be able to download the COPR from the portal while waiting for the physical PR card to arrive by mail.

Sent webform for virtual landing same day as PPR
My understanding was that on March 21, you submitted a webform to update your child’s address to an address in Canada. Since they requested your child’s passport on April 28 instead of beginning the virtual landing process through the portal, I’m assuming the webform submitted on March 21 either did not go through or was not processed correctly?

Yes, they sent us an email requesting proof of landing on May 7 so I’m assuming they only followed the Webform I submitted after receiving the PPR.

Applied from which country?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

My son is an Indian citizen and currently holds a valid Canadian visitor visa. We have an approved family sponsorship PR application for him, and recently received a Passport Request (PPR) asking us to submit his original passport within 30 days.

The issue is that my wife and son are scheduled to travel to Canada on June 14, and we're concerned that if we submit the passport now, it may not be returned in time for travel.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation where:
- You received a PPR but had imminent travel plans?
- You requested an extension from IRCC to submit the passport later?
- You travelled to Canada on a visitor visa while the PR application was at the passport request stage?

What did IRCC advise, and how did you proceed?

Any experiences or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You have two options:

- Delay your trip to Canada in order to finalize the PPR process in India.

OR

- Come to Canada in the original trip date. Submit a webform informing IRCC about your whole travel situation and that you request to finalize the process inland through the Portal instead of PPR. In the webform, submit evidence about your whole story (flight itinerary, boarding pass, visitor visa, arrival stamp, ArriveCan submission email, photos in Canada, etc).
