Side effects of waiting for a PR in Canada!

Good one! I think the side effects of waiting for the U.S. Green Card are worse though :D

Guys, don't be too shy. I got my passport processed and immigrant visa issued in three days after receiving the PPR. You should not contact any CVAC to have this done: their role is to support, not to make suggestions. Write your local VO, tell its Visas and Immigration Section that you received a passport request, notified CIC about the need to transfer your case to the VO in question and ask them for further instructions. My VO simply told me to send everything to them right away through a CVAC and issued everything in three days. And I am yet to hear from CIC that they did hand my case over. :)

Thanks for the info, been waiting since October 15 hence will write to my LVO now.

Shout out to fellow May folks. Anyone still waiting for DM?

Looks like everything is quiet on the PPR front too.

I am not sure whats the delay.. Is it something to do with Inland vs out land??
If u look at Anya and few other folks from last weeks PPR batch.,the wait time between DM & PPR is a lot less..perhaps a week or even less..

Have you tried calling CIC, darphil? I read a post from someone today stating CIC had apparently sent a snail mail to their home address requesting passport--no sight of any email. Check this out: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/an-another-irresponsible-job-done-by-cicpls-help-t368465.0.html

I recall one person on the DM but no PPR thread reporting that their PPR came only after 33 days of DM.

I'm assuming you're inland? If so, can you reach out to CIC and if you don't get a response, get in touch with your MP?

Hang in there!

I thought the LVO could handle your case only if it has been passed to them. Maybe it is indeed what has happened. Ottawa had sent your case to them. Could you please tell if you wrote a local CSE or dropped them an email at their general email address? Thanks.

you are absolutely correct deccan , im applying inside canada. i already received my gcms notes and it shows that the VO was satisfied and approved my application. i still have my family back in the philippines and it is very frustrating to wait for more than 3 weeks without PPR while other applicants are receiving their PPR in a matter of days after DM. anyway there is nothing we can do just to keep on waitng :( .

aor= 05-20
dm= 09-24 or 25 ( i checked ECAS around 12:10am of 25th)
gcms notes that the final decision was on the 23rd of sept.

PPR 2 mins ago. I am positive those of you waiting will hear good news soon.

This forum, and this thread especially, have been my life line since this journey began. To everyone, a big thank you.

Will still be around to provide any "virtual" support I can.
