if my wife case in security check now?(sponsor living in BC)

Hi there, i sponsor my wife to apply PR who living in China. We got AOR on Oct 25,2024, medical test/Biometrics passed on Feb16,2025
Now her application Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements; Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents; Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes; Background check: Not applicable; Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I used webpage analyst to find out her case not under security , and her case is completed as FC-sponsor, my question is almost end of May but we do not have receive COPR letter, I wonder her case is still under background check? and when I should send webform to request for final decision ?

The goal for processing time is 10 months which you haven’t reached but some take longer to process. You are well within normal processing.

When did you apply?

I think you are still within range of normal process time.
Most of the items when listed as "not applicable", it really means it hasn't gotten up to that process yet.
And background check usually takes the longest time. If you wife had worked under the government or military, it will take even longer.

This generally means security and background check are still in progress or even not started. Background and security checks where China is involved tend to take quite a bit longer. I would prepare yourselves for a bit of a wait and be happy if you have a decision by August.
