Super Visa Timeline -- Islamabad, Pakistan

Alhamdulillah,

Got medical for my father super visa. Here is the timeline:

Applied: May 24th
Arrived at Consulate: May 28th
Pickup: Aug 27th. TCS didn't call for few days. It says it arrived before Eid.
Medical scheduled for Sept 3rd.

Does anyone know if medical process has been changed. Before I remember people use to call doctors and schedule the medical. Now there was a 051-111 xxx number to schedule the medical for all Pakistan.

Anyone who has recently done medical? anyone in Lahore? if yes, can you post your experience?

Did you initially send your application through TCS? or did you use Fedex?

How was their experience for Medical in Lahore? How did you get appointment?

My father also got medical. Before it use to be thru Medical practitioner and now the paper says get appointment thru IOM. And the earliest available is next week. Can you share your experience?

For my parents we got medical date in a week

There was no issue for medical as far as I know. My parents went there very next day and have done their medical.
For medical insurance, you can go to any Canadian medical insurance company either directly or through a broker. See the link below

You must have your insuranc before applying. It is apx. $2000 for one parent and $4000 for both depending upon their age and health conditions.

Hello quick question, Can i just scan and email the invitation letter with my signatures or it needs to show my original signature ?


The problem is its just 1 document that i need to send and cost to send is very high.. .

please tell me how you guys sent the letter.

I would recommend to send orignal letter. You should leave any blank spot in your application. Keep all documents ready and send them at once by mail.

I guess you already applied for Super Visa for your parents:
I have a few questions

1) Do we need to provide family ties in back home, for my case my parents are live alone and my father is retired officer.
2) I had applied TRV(Normal Visit Visa) couple months ago, but they got rejected because we are not provide any proof of family ties.
3) The application package is same as normal TRV
4) We applied though Gerrys Drop box office, because they said they have no information about Super Visa?

I sent my invitation letter by scanning it to my parents. Its totally fine,just ask them to take out a colored print of your letter.

Application received by Commission 17 May 2012
Medical Request received 31 July 2012
Medical (done at Karachi) submitted and Passport returned to Commission on 6th August

Visa validity is passport expiry less one month.

People who wish to get longer visa should extend the validity of passports before applying for super visa.

I have handled the entire process myself so in case if people wish to know anything let me know.

8th Aug and still waiting. Hoping to get it sometime this week.
