Does the background check change to - We are processing your background check and will contact if more info is required.

Or does it say 'Not Applicable' the entire time until the decision is made?

Which one is normal?

Did you check your application status at Canada Immigration website (am assuming you made online application) with your login and pass (GcKey login most probably) where your application was filed either by you or maybe your consultant. Please check i think you might be missing important updates.

My consultant told me that they have checked it and it is showing under process but she aslo said that you will receive emails from now on

Thanks for your reply! I am worried because my friend applied (2 years ago) and his Background Check never changed. It was always 'Not Applicable'. Maybe now-a-days background check changes for everyone. Or is it just me ? (Mine says we are processing your background check) Should I be worried??

Does everyone have this on their profile?
Please reply I am so worried.

I would suggest ask username and pass from your consultant, as it would help to get familiar with immigration website as you will have future interaction too, I had IDP Chandigarh as my consultant, they expressly shared the user pass, so that i may track my application at my end as well.

My Background check status shows " Your background check was completed " on July 17 so am pretty sure everyone will have theirs done as well. So don't worry its just normal procedure.

Wait till 26-27 Aug you will get your result and keep an eye on the application status once you get your passport request the rest of the process is smooth

Biometric on 29 th July
After that no updates. Any guesses when will I get the decision?

Its will reach 25 to 29 august, keep checking your application status for passport request letter, if it comes early you may have your visa sooner.
