I submitted a paper based application on December 10th.
I didn’t get any update until January 8th when they updated that I passed the medical exam and started reviewing my eligibility.
Anyone knows when I might get the final decision please ?
When did you receive your visa? I applied offline on Jan 31st and no update till now.

I was rejected study permit basically on insufficient fund to carry out stated purpose .I want to reapply, it 9 months certificate programme, the total cost living expenses and tuition is about 6,000,000 naira .I personally have a little above 10,000 CADs in my account. Please can my uncle not having the same surname with me be my sponsor?
No your uncle without same surname cannot sponsor you cause visa officer would be like why does he want to and what does he stand to gain sponsoring you...so I'll suggest using your parents account or try out other countries....

Hi guys, what is the latest situation in view of the quarantine? I would like to know if there are any restrictions for some country or did everything resume its work? Let me know if someone has the news. I am waiting. Luckily, during the lockdown, I could engage myself with writing for APlusEssay, and online essay writing service. A good income until we return to normal life.
Did you get your visa for September 2020 intake? How many it takes to get

Yes, it is 8 weeks now. It dropped to 6 weeks at some point and went back to 8 weeks again, hopefully I get an answer this month
How long did it take your application to be processed? I've been waiting for 8 months... since Dec19 and no updates...

Hi, I applied on paper in a VAC from Ecuador on april 10th and linked my application to my online profile. Ecuador has an 8 week processing time. It's been 4 weeks now and I have no updates. For anyone, when was the first update on a similar case from any country?

Hi Guys,

I have been a silent reader of all the post in this group and really appreciative of all the shared information, experiences and support system. All the information posted has helped me tremendously in understanding the process as well as coping with the stress associated during the waiting period. Hence, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who have helped me through this journey, unknowingly, and keeping me composed.

That being said, I would like to give you a brief about my case. I applied for study permit after 20 years of education gap for a post-grad program. According to consultants in India, I don't have a chance of getting approved and hence I shouldn't even try applying.

Not agreeing to their thought process, I did proceed with the application and as destiny would have it, I received my approval last night. So for those in a similar situation who are losing hope, I wanted to write this post mainly to request them not to lose faith and proceed with their dream. Have faith in yourself, be truthful with your thoughts and head for your goals!

Having said that, my timeline is as under:

Medical: Upfront before application
17th April: Application - Online General Category
24th April: Biometrics
1st May: 1st Acknowledgement Letter
15th May: 2nd Acknowledgement Letter
28th May: Medical Passed
29th May: Biometric Validity Letter from CPC - Ottawa
30th May: Passport Submission Request

Hope my post helps and inspires someone the way this thread helped me! Pass it on!

Good luck to everyone and thank you to all!
Congratulations Any tips for people with study gap? ( i have 16 years gap).
