Apply for a study or work permit
If you’re applying for a study permit or work permit from outside Canada during the suspension, you must apply online.

Once your application is processed and approved, find out if you’re exempt from the travel restrictions, if you’re outside the US, and can travel to Canada. All temporary foreign workers and some international students can travel to Canada for an essentialFootnote1 (non-discretionary) purpose.

This is what the website says.

Visa process has changed, and not completely suspended, People in this forum have been getting responses for their study/work permits and extensions, although at snails pace due to reduced working staff. Visitor Visa applications for non essential travel have been suspended.

I recommend giving the website another view @demme343. It is very clearly mentioned. Confusion is possible.
only students who got visa bwfore 18th march can travel to canada.that also they have to stay 14 days in isolation

Hi
No update for my Application, but I remember talking to my agent and that she saying that she had raised an enquiry and that the embassy had responded by saying that my application was in queue for review. It might have been for other applicants with the same agent, but I am not sure if it was for my application or not.

Same Here.
Good news...at least applications are being processed

I had given biometrics before during a previous TRV attempt. Also applications can be processed before biometrics.
