Step Wise Procedures of Attestation For WES of Metric, Inter & HEC

I wonder, why we are wasting our time running after HEC/ SSC / HSC...why people dont go for Comparative Education Services instead of WES as their requirements are very very simplified...just attested color photocopy of highest degree obtained from the issuing institution/university.

Though I understand CES processing time is 3 weeks where as WES is 7 days but we are wasting more than 3 weeks running after idiotic process of HEC/SSC/HSC..!!

Is there any hidden draw back of CES that refrain people to go for it...??

thanks for sharing your view, i am working in dubai and can not go for all these sort of boards etc, can you tell me what exactly CES is,, and what documents they need and from they need to be attested. and the fee, kindly share if you have experience. thanks

Above information is INCORRECT !!

Please make your request to have official academic records (transcripts/statements of marks) sent by the issuing authority directly to CES in a sealed envelope as soon as possible, as some institutions may take a considerable amount of time to provide them

WES CANADA is very hectic experience -

I have submitted BUNCH of Masters and Bachelor degree certificate and All annual marksheet in 1 university sealed envelope after Attestation from the University.

Total 7 document Stapled and put in an envelope In order - M.Sc cert then 2 M.Sc marksheet then Bachelor Cert and 3 marksheet.

Now WES saying they only received only Certificates and not any marksheets .. hows that possible and how ridicules.

I asked them many times what are document you got .. and they just don;t bother to list them out.

Is anyone aware of if there is any format for MarkSheet or WES is just wasting our time.

Dear Can you please advise HEC process also as my both BBA and MBA degrees have already attested by HEC so I think it will be the same procedure but on photocopies.
Please also advise I have done 4 years of BBA Hons and 2.5 years of MBA from LSE, Pakistan. What do you think WES will equalize to ! bachelor's or Master's ?

dear forum fellows,

I have four years BCS(Hons) degree from BZU, Multan. and 2 years research-thesis based MS degree from NUST. but WES declare my bachelor degee equivalent ot canadian bachelor (3 years),

and master degree equivalent to canadian bachers(4 years). Any one other on this fourm faced the similar issue. i have wrote them to re-visit and re-consider this evaluation, and it has been done by mistake....

I am Pakistani living abroad. I have got my masters degree from University of Karachi. I got my bachelors and masters degree attested by HEC Karachi office. However, I am unable to get my intermediate certificate attested from Intermediate Board Karachi.

My question is it mandatory requirement to get intermediate board attestation from WES or simply HEC attested Master and Bachelor degrees would be sufficient for my WES ECA report?

Yes it is mandatory requirement of WES. You may get this done by authorizing anyone from your blood relations or, if lucky, some other person.

The authorized person must go to the Board along with your SSC/HSSC and WES Academic Request Form and clearly tell them that he want to get the equivalence from WES Canada, so that they could process your case accordingly as it is different from ordinary attestation (as per my experience).

A number of people from Karachi have already discussed the whole process in this thread, you may get benefit from those or simply visit your Board and there will be other people doing this process and you can ask them for help.

OR OR OR

You must go for other attesting agencies of Canada like: Comparative Education Service (CES) and International Credential Assessment Service of Canada (ICAS) as they would not need your SSC/HSSC. This would be better with regard to documents requirement but they will get more time to process your ECA.

1. I have my Metric + Intermediate certificates attested from Gujranwala Board as well IBCC almost two years ago. Now i am interested for Canada Immigration, Please guide me how can i send my documents (Metric+Inter) to WES for verification ?

I opted for WES due to time constraint in FSW-2014. I got sealed envelope from HEC and dispatched it myself via TCS, however my SSC and HSC were dispatched by the Board through registered mail and it took them about 20 days to reach WES. By Oct 23, all the documents were received by WES and they completed my report on Oct 29. By Nov 1, I got 02 copies of my ECA via UPS Couriers.

You may better judge your situation and should act accordingly.

Dear Wahab Anjum,

1. You must visit the Board office in Gujranwala. Go to the main building of the board. When you enter in the main building, on your left hand, there will b a Verification Branch which deals with WES. They need simple copies of your SSC/HSSC along with WES form and advise you to pay the fee in the bank located within the premises of board (The fee may be Rs. 2000 per certificate i.e. total Rs. 4000 for SSC+HSSC). They will send your documents within a week time to WES through registered mail which may take upto one month to reach. You may request them to send via TCS by making payment of the courier charges yourself if you think it necessary.

2. As regards HEC, you need to send the verified photocopies i.e. having HEC original stamps and signs. The photocopies must be got sealed from HEC in an ordinary envelope. HEC officials will paste special purpose seals on the envelope, stamp it and sign the envelope. After getting this sealed envelope, write your WES reference No. on it and pack it in another envelope and send to WES.

3. If your SSC / HSSC certificates mention your subjects and marks obtained, there is no need for a separate marks sheet.

Thnx Mish for ur response.... Now i am quite relived that at least inter attestation is ok... Now abt the sealed envelope... Can u plz explain a lil bit further that how did ur sealed stamp look lke cz the board guys r saying that they dnt do it... from where did u get it? Is it the normal stamp of board which had been stamped on the flap of it or is it different than that???

Also wil it be ok if i would send only attested mark sheet n certificate with out the form??? Plz do reply

As per my experience, the verification for WES is different from the routine verification by the board/IBCC and there are different sections in the Board to do this.

Board has a verification branch which deals with the international agencies like WES. You needs to visit this branch along with WES form+photocopies of your SSC/HSSC and ask them to send your docs to WES. They will ask you to submit the requisite fee and you will be given a time frame within which they will deliver your docs to WES. The photocopies required are just plain ordinary copies i.e. not attested as the board will forward the copies along with a confidential report to WES. So there is no need for sealed envelope.
