Filipina,

Thanks for the link! I read this and now I can be confident that I wont have any problem in custody issue.. just a little explanation of our relationship to the immigration.. thanks so much for your help!!

CAN A TRAVEL CLEARANCE BE ISSUED TO ILLEGITIMATE CHILDREN WHO ARE STILL APPLYING FOR THEIR VISA IN THE EMBASSY?

Illegitimate children are under the custody of the mother. If they will be traveling with the mother, they are not required to secure a travel clearance from the DSWD. If they are traveling with person other than the mother, they must secure a travel clearance.

Hi,

I just wanna ask, Me and my fiance getting married on December here in the phils. my fiance is Canadian. few days after wedding he will be back to Canada. and our next step is to file the immigration application for me as a spouse and for my daughter. yes i have love child.she is 10 yeasr old. my question is do i need to ask the father of my kid to sign any legal documents or something? bcoz ever since that i gave birth i never seen him his name not even in the birth certificate of my child. it was only my name who is listed in my child`s birth certificate and it says there i am a single parent.
what are the essential documents do i need to prepare for her?aside from passport and her medical records?

Thank you so much and advance merry Christmas to everyone here. hugs!

your situation is same as dorisiana you can read backwards about my post. tell the immigration that you and the father of the child has no communication since you gave birth and he has no obligation to the child.

hi great people!! I have a question, the father of my child is not listed in my daughter's birth certificate, (her birth certificate is late registered) i decided not to include the father since we had no communication since i became pregnant. I thinking I won't have any problem of the custody of my daughter, is that right? I just like to make sure because if the immigration ask me to find the father and ask for a signed consent of whatever i honestly don't know where I can find the guy. and anyways he was not interested about the chid because she left me when i was pregnant. any reply or suggestions will be highly appreciated. thank you!

Hi there girl,
I guess we have the same situation here. and from what ive heard,
Illegitimate children are under the custody of the mother. If they will be traveling with the mother, they are not required to secure a travel clearance or anything. If they are traveling with person other than the mother, they must secure a travel clearance.and i guess all you need to secure of course your child`s medical record and any essential ducs. I hope this help. good luck.! xoxoxo

Hi its me again,

For immigration application under the Sponsorship III - Spouses, and dependent children
for CHILDREN’S INFORMATION, it says there,

Proof of Custody, confirmation that you have fulfilled all obligations in custody agreements, and that the dependent(s) is/are free to move to Canada. Ensure to provide certified copies of court documents.

I have an illegitimate child with me when migrating to canada under the family class spouse sponsorship. where can i obtained the proof of custody that stated above?
Do i need to talk to a lawyer?and if so, the paper (Proof of Custody)needs to be authenticated?

Thanks in advance more power to this site.

hi
i just got approved as a sponsor.

my husband just quit his job and he wants to come here as a visitor (he has a canadian tourist visa). will he be allowed to enter canada even when our sponsorship application is in process?

if his visa expires, can he apply for visa extension?

will this in any way delay our sponsorship application?

will his not having a job affect the application and his entering canada?
should we notify the embassy about his quitting his job?

thanks.

If his visa is valid he should be allowed to visit.
But as a visitor he still needs to prove ties back to his home country.
Extensions can be applied for while in Canada.

yes if he has visa he can use it, but during processing the immigration might ask some douments like his passport and he will be given 45 days or whatever to provide it. a tourist visa valid only for 6 months but he can extend his visa until 1 year or whenever he wants. yes it might cause a delay if he didnt respond to the immigration, they might ask u to get police clearance in canada. no, quitting job is not affecting your application no need to tell them but you didn't know untill when is the processing. if its already approved your husband have to go back or exit to entry point.
