i have got a communication from CIC yesterday, saying that the application is transferred to New York Office for further validation. please help what would the reason for transferring the application after 17 months of filing.

Email from CIC:

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. Your application has been transferred to a visa office outside Canada for further review of your eligibility and admissibility for a permanent resident visa.

The Canadian visa office in New York will communicate with you via e-mail. The email you receive will come from email addresses that end in “ @ international.gc.ca” or “ @ cic.gc.ca”. Please add these to the “safe senders” list in your email program. You should also check your junk mail folder in your email program and/or in your email website in case important emails get filtered into this folder.

Please note that the visa office in New York cannot respond to case status enquiries at this time. We ask you to be patient and wait until that office contacts you within the next two months. Your patience will permit the visa office to begin work on your application more quickly.

However, if your personal circumstances change, such as the birth or adoption of a child, a marriage or a divorce, you must inform that visa office immediately. They must also be informed if any of the following change:

• Change of email address
• Change of residential or mailing address
• Change of immigration representative (if applicable)
• Decision to withdraw your application
• Approval of Arranged Employment Opinion by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada

Please forward all future correspondence as follows:

By email: CNGNYG @ international.gc.ca

By mail: Immigration Section

Concourse Level
(between 49th and 50th Streets, midtown Manhattan)

what exactly is your question? what do you want help with? also, did you apply for PR through SPOUSAL FAMILY CLASS, meaning your canadian spouse is sponsoring you for PR, or did you apply through another PR stream (ie: provincial nominee, federal skilled worker, live-in caregiver, parent sponsorship, etc)?

By the looks of his other thread its either skilled worker or Canadian experience class. He has asked in the other threads but i don't think he had a response.

SRAMA, Thanks for the info. As you said, CIC can't do much. They are not even able/willing to tell me what the holdup is all about. Once the wait passes the period on the website, all they(CIC) will do is send an email to CPC inquiring about the case. As I have been told by them, they can only inquire again, once 3 months have passed since their last action! Just to confirm, you received your SA via regular mail? Eventhough you have provided them your email? And lastly, did you get the SA from CIC or CPC? Thanks.

Hi Haldashti,

Agent confirmed my SA through the phone when i called and they said they sent the approval via regular mail. \yes they have my email add and that is where they sent my AOR. Just give them a call and make sure you are not missing any documents.
They even told me that they can only send the email query to the officer after the 2 months and one agent told me there is no point of sending them the query before the 2months end knowing the reply "we still working on that".

Agent really cant help us.. BUt i would say just keep calling every other week and check your status.

Question, i sent in my owp application with my PR application but i didnt remember to add a checklist for the work permit.
Do u think that would b a problem?

No.

In future, don't spam the forum with the same post. Find the proper thread, post once and wait for an answer with a bit of patience.

Hi,,,Anybody knows if there is a link(official page) through which I can check(follow) my medical status???When I was doing my remed doctor was telling smth about it,about following it,and that there r some changes-it is electronically submitted to CIC(I don't remember exactly, cause I was inattentive at that time)Now I want to check,,and one more question,,Is it true that CIC should review the medical within 3 months,it won't be more than 3 months??
Thanks

Tj777;
You have to have a certificate for your change of name here in Canada. Then you can renew your PR card with the new last name. Thats what I did. (:

Hi SRAMA9, Thanks for the information. As you may know, CIC does not make decisions, and there's little they can provide. I will keep calling.. Good luck to you and let me/us know how your case progresses.
Thanks.

Hello Everyone

I need please an immediate help here with IMM 1344 APPLICATION TO SPONSOR:

Question Number 7 C ) Full name at the time you became a permanent resident: same as a current YES OR NO

NOW I have a different name printed on the PR when I first go it and this is because the name did not fit in the computer system so the officer did not write the full name as in passport at that time. However I have the same last name as before.

I am now super confused to click yes it is the same as before or No the name changed at the time I became a PR.

I already submitted application today saying NO and writing the name as written on PR and do not if this is correct or no :o :o

please your input is so needed on this specially those with previous experience with this issue

Regards everyone ;)

Hello everyone

I am noha from Egypt, my husband is Canadian/Egyptian and we applied for spousal sponsorship , i sent my sponsorship file on 20/11/2014 and since that we didn't receive any reply by mail or phone , then my husband returned to Canada in 1/4/2015 and called Cic they told them that part 1 is approved (he is eligible to sponsor me) and file sent to Cairo on 8/3/2015 but i wonder why they didn't send us mails about that or called us?

any way they told him also that i have to wait till cairo office ask me to do the medical examination, so is it better to prepare it form now before they ask about it? or wait their request?

regards
noha
