Hi. I am a Canadian citizen and newly married to a Filipino husband. I have already submitted the application to sponsor a spouse about a month ago. I was reading this forum and found out that there is a question in IMM 5669 Q6 if the principal applicant has been refused a visitor visa to Canada or any other country. My husband applied for a Canadian visitor visa 6 yrs ago but the application was denied. I reviewed the form that we sent and realized that he put NO as the answer to question #6. What should he do? Does he need to send a new form and admit to CIC that he made a mistake in answering one of the questions in the form? If he submits a new IMM 5669, will my application be placed at the end of the queue? I have not received any SA as the application has not yet been processed. Jan 12 applications are currently being processed as of March 10th. I submitted my application on Feb 16th. Please help.

Yes - you will definitely need to correct this error. I would wait until your application has received sponsorship approval and been transferred to the local visa office - and then send an updated form with a cover letter explaining the error.

Hello I am new to this thread.
I applied PR for my wife in August 2014, got approval on November and New Delhi Sent an approval letter with UCI number to my wife in November itself, Its been sitting there since then. I am wondering how much time it takes for processing after file transfers to New Delhi from Mississauga? Any Similar case who got their passport request?

You better refer to this thread for New Delhi, to get a better perspective. They are currently working on July 2014 applicants so it may take a month or two before you hear anything from New Delhi.

Hi,

i am applying for my wife's inland sponsorship. I want to apply her work permit along with the application.
So, I just have to fill IMM5710 only or I have to fill any documents too?
What proof I have to attach for the work permit application.

Please help.

I have already submitted my application for my wife and I am thinking of changing jobs. I am planning to start my own company and contract myself out to a staffing agency and work for clients such as Transcanada. Will this have any impact?

It doesn't matter what you do to earn income. Is the income sufficient enough to take care of yourself and your spouse that is the question.

Hi all,

I have joined this forum recently and I need an update regarding PR file status for spouse visa in New Delhi. I submitted an outland application for spouse visa in September 2014 to Mississauga and I received AOR at the end of October 2014. Under application status, it states the file has been transferred to New Delhi and the medicals have been received. It has been the same since October of last year and no new update has been added since then. Presently the processing time in New Delhi as indicated in CIC website is 16 months. Could you people please tell me what has been average processing time for getting PR in 2014 and which time period is CHC currently working on.

I checked the "new-delhi-2014-applicants-t180473.0" thread, but I could not find relevant information on the update I requested.

Any comments will be greatly appreciated....

Thank you... :)

Regards,
Harry

I believe each visa office all over the world has very different processing time, so I don't think there is an "average" processing time for all visa offices (even if there is, it's not representative of your visa office). There is only a true average processing time for each different visa office.

You aren't even required to tell them that you are changing jobs, so zero impact.

Hi everyone.

Im in a stressful situation right now i don't know if anyone can offer me any good advice as soon as possible.

My spousal PR application as been almost completed and ready to go but jus last sunday we figure that the only way to get an option C is to call:(.

My situation is that my work permit expires in 5 days and im not sure what to do at this time. The person we get at the CRA said the option C will deliver prior 5 to 10 days which is going to be too late.

What if i submit my application with the NOA will they return it?

Can i send my application then send the option C shortly after?

I really dont want to be out of status when my file is submitted as i dont want to mess up getting my OWP

you've already asked this question and a very knowledgeable member has already answered. you will not get more answers the more you post, and the answer you were given is most likely the best one there is to give. please refrain from posting the same exact question in different threads. contrary to what you may believe, members will actually NOT answer your question because it appears to be a spammed question. have patience and continue the discusssion in the thread you've already received an answer in.

Thank you for replying.

In that case, is it possible to know which date or month CHC in New Delhi is processing files currently?

go to the new dehli thread and ask your question there. people will be knowledgeable of the process there and there might even be a spreadsheet that tracks progress.
