Mhikyla12 said:Hi. I am a Canadian citizen and newly married to a Filipino husband. I have already submitted the application to sponsor a spouse about a month ago. I was reading this forum and found out that there is a question in IMM 5669 Q6 if the principal applicant has been refused a visitor visa to Canada or any other country. My husband applied for a Canadian visitor visa 6 yrs ago but the application was denied. I reviewed the form that we sent and realized that he put NO as the answer to question #6. What should he do? Does he need to send a new form and admit to CIC that he made a mistake in answering one of the questions in the form? If he submits a new IMM 5669, will my application be placed at the end of the queue? I have not received any SA as the application has not yet been processed. Jan 12 applications are currently being processed as of March 10th. I submitted my application on Feb 16th. Please help.
Yes - you will definitely need to correct this error. I would wait until your application has received sponsorship approval and been transferred to the local visa office - and then send an updated form with a cover letter explaining the error.
