Hi guys ,
By any chance does anybody has or can help me with the format of "Declaration of severance of common-law relationship" ??
like what exactly we have to write in it ?

I think the format and procedure provided in this thread are still accurate: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/declaration-of-severance-of-common-law-relationship-t27570.0.html

Hi,

I need as much information as possible. I got my PR in May 2013 and had to go back to England becasue of work. I'm moving back to Canada in January 2014. I am getting married December 2013 and was wondering if I can start processing PR for my spouse immediately I return to Canada.

Any information will be helpful.

Many thanks

Yes should be no problem. Try and get all the required docs (marriage certificate, police report etc) before you come back to Canada.

Thanks for your reply. I read somewhere that I will have to show evidence of employment income for the 12 months preceding my application. Since I will only start living in canada in January and I do not have a job offer as yet to go to when I arrive in canada, what will I use as evidence of income?

Thanks for once again.

Because you where not employed in Canada, you will not be able to provide the Option C that is requested. You can provide any proof about your income during 2013 in UK. Any bank statement showing your savings is also a plus.

I think It would be better that you apply only after getting a job in Canada, so that you can prove that you can financially support your wife after she gets PR.

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the accuracy of the original post as the rules stand today. I see that the post was made 3 years ago and there is a lot of helpful information provided. I was especially surprised to read that there is no required minimum income to sponsor my husband, and also that he cannot be turned down for 'strain on the health care system' either. I am interested to know if either of these points have changed in the past three years, or if I am actually allowed to get excited. lol

Any information would be helpful. Thank-you!

I think that you must apply to the Canadian High Commision for the passport. It will make no difference to the processing of your application. If anything it might slow it down if you have to add her details to the application, although you don't have to include her as an applicant. Your husband will not be able to speed things up either. Sorry...
