Zardoz thank you, but do I send all her applications together with mine here to Canada or:

- I send mine here to Canada
- She send her to Vienna
- I send mine to Canada and She send her to Canada

Everything together as ONE package to CPC-M.

My application for sponsorship was approved. Now, I understand and accept, that I am not to receive any social assistance from the gov't. But, would the Saskatchewan Employment Supplement and Saskatchewan Rental Housing Supplement be considered social assistance? I'm guessing it is, but would like to check with someone else to know for sure.
Thanks,
Kent

No government assistence is for the PR applicant not the sponsor.

Thank you for both answers.

What about her medical exam?

Can she do it right away and than send me here with her Application, or Canadian office in Vienna will request this from her after sponsorship application is approved?

Upfront medical is a requirement. She must do it before sending in the application as the medical receipt has to be included.

thank you zardoz. your assistance is greatly appreciated

Thanks for the quick reply. But in the letter that they sent me confirming my approval for sponsorship they said I, the sponsor, could not apply for social assistance.

If that is what the letter says then I would go with that. It would be worth calling them to see exactly what they consider to be social assistence since there is no minimum income required to be a sponsor and no requirement to be employed just where else does one get the funds to live?
Educational programmes may not apply. They might mean EI or welfare specifically.

The sponsor should not be receiving social assistance but can receive disability income.

I concur, but I don't know if they will count housing subsidy as social assistance.

It depends on why and who it's from. I agree with amikety, call who does your subsidy and ask if it's under Social Assistance and where it comes from. If you're from Ontario, usually it's a county thing, or called Ontario Works.
